Drove an FD RX-7
Today, twin turbo one great fun tbh. Only ever been a passenger in one. This was modded ECU, cusco rear 1.5 way diff with paddle clutch and fmic. And the best exhausts ever to fit to a jap car a Blitz Nur Spec R.
The car was running 1.2 bar of boost which amazingly had a bitta lag which was weird I'm too used to my buddies TT MKIV Supra and my GT4 Celica which both have minimal lag.
Very fun car once on boost it was greasy weather over here so once it hit boost she was sliding around but very predictable once it started moving. The only bad point is it is running JIC coilovers great suspension but way too hard for our rds over here.
Really enjoyed driving it, the high revving wankel turbo engine is fun

I used to have a pontiac GTP 3.8l supercharged. I boosted the hell out of it and had full exhaust and meth injection. Tranny was a piece of shit though.

1.3 litre engine in the rx
Put a Supra up against any of your Holdens and I guarantee it would piss all over them even with a basic few mods and youcan run upwards of 1k bhp and toruque through the drivetrain on the 6speed TT Supras.
And my car is 2l but has a lovely turbo to nake up for it and is nicely fast I have to say

The rotary engines are naaaaaaasty and don't blow. They're feisty tho lol

Everyone gives out about building then etc but they are not that bad, take for example a car that needs a timing belt every 50k miles, do a 100k miles thats two belts needed to be fitted to be fitted to the car, lets say for arguement it comes in at 1k per belt change for parts labour etc
Lets say its 2k for a rebuild of the rotary tips for 100k miles still works out as expensive as a standard engine. You can even buy a dvd on how to change thrm out step by step.
Lol, haz they are quite tail happy tbh even more so with the 1.5 way diff haha even in 3rd its squirrely lol but thats the appeal its only you abs and the car tis cool compared to the over nannied modern cars

The bigger the turbo the bigger the lag time.
Biggest problem with rotary is dont ever let it get low on oil or the engine is toast quickly.
I have a VR4, twin turbo. 9b stock upgraded to 13B's, 340 injectors upgraded to 550s, air/fuel controller, custom built exhaust, no cats, custom pistons, port matched, balanced V6 All Wheel drive 400hp at the wheels on pump gas. Perfect daily driver.
Lots of other details left out of course.
