WTF is wrong with me
Alright guys so I am beginning to think something is seriously wrong with me. IDK if you recall my hospital visit, where my stomach shut down. Now the past few week i've been extremely lethargic.
I've been keeping an eye on my blood sugars and they haven't been off to much. For example I just checked my glucose levels and they were 135, but the way I feel is very similar to if they were in the 600's. I even bought a second meter to make sure the one I was using wasn't miscalibrated.
I've been this way for the past few week and I can barely make it out of bed during the day.
All-in-all I feel like death. I joking have been telling friends I have cancer or aids, just because I feel like my body is starting to stop working.
I've been focusing on hydrating, because i've been dehydrated before and it can feel simular, but no matter how much water, gatorade or emergin C I drink, I feel the same.
I'm thinking some sort of deficiency, or maybe I actually do have a disease. any ideas? I have a doctors appointment later today, but from my experience they arent very smart. (I see a state doctor)
btw when i called to make an appointment she asked for my name and address and I could hardly register what she was asking let alone answer. (sign of stroke?) I am not on any steroids ( for about a year) and my natty test is 600.

Sounds like it might be some type of nasty virus, super bug type?
In regards to stroke, any other signs? Left side numb? Eyes going out of focus? More memory loss. It could be mild tta, mini strokes. You would need a MRI with contrast dye.

Daas are you a long distance runner by any chance? What other symptoms do you have other than your stomach sut down and you are now lethargic?

Actually yeah I cant seem to remember much of anything lately. My short term is pretty bad, and my eye sight has been a seeming to get worse. My first thoughts where a deficiency, but idk really. It kinda blew my mind today when the operator asked for my address and i couldnt think of it. Im only 25, way to young for a stroke id think. i eat healthy and exercise. Are strokes genetic?

not to put words in Triky's mouth, but....
those symptoms remind me of when I was severly dehydrated. just for tickles and grins, if you are too lazy to make your own rehydration fluids, go to the store and buy a couple of gallons of pediolite. if it what I had, symptoms should begin to clear in as early as 24 hours.

I thought you were going today? I would not be waiting. Mono actually is a possibility but Ohhh I just thought of something. Something I got when I was 25 and kicked the sh*t out of me for the next 15 years... Hepatitis B. You might only have Hep A. Be is gotten through blood. Mne way from..... donating, yes really.
I was VERY tired. Had NO appetite. Check your eyes. Are the white of your eyes yellow at all?

I hope not because if there is that means it's going to happen. lol
7 surgeries on right eye starting age 10
2 on lower back
left shoulder
Doc says right shoulder should be done
spermaticeal
hernia when I was 6 months old
bladder surgery 5yrs old
Hepatitis B 26
3 nasal surgeries including having the uvula cut
Married 3x, 2 are deceased. 3rd one undecided. lol
I'm sure I'm leaving out a few things.

I asked about the running, because some marathon or endurance runners have issues where their stomach actually absorb water and dehydrates the rest of the body.
I don't think you are having a transient ischemic attack (TIA). TIA are called a mini-strokes. They have the same symptoms but only last up to 24 hours and don't leave permanent damage. They are very serious though. Your symptoms are longer than 24 hours.
How are the bowel movements? Have you ever been checked for Crohnes Disease? Do you take B12? Could be a severe B12 deficiency... Any new meds (could be a reaction)
This will sound weird, but do you have dogs or been hiking before all this started? Do you have a rash? Most of your symptoms are symptoms of lyme disease... but then again, what isn't?
Could be a lot of things... even mad cow disease...
Get a full blood panel CBC, Metabolic... the works
Let us know what the doctor says...

It feels like I am extreamely dehydrated, but I am pounding gatorades and Pedialytes. Maybe it is related to my stomach issue I had in the hospital
I got a full blood panel, kidney function, vitamin D levels checked. Ill probably get the blood work back on monday or tuesday. It seems like everything started after I went for an intense hike about a month and a half ago. the lethargy about 2 weeks ago.
I dont think hepititus, but i guess if everything comes back ok ill check for mono and hep. This shit is really concerning to me.

Definitely go to the doctor and get some answers. Many years ago, I felt like you describe for several weeks and kept putting it off. I had no energy all day and more or less collapsed every afternoon when I got home. After getting a nasty sore throat to top it off, I finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with mono. I ended up in the hospital for 10 days and had serious complications including serious liver issues. Definitely stay on top of it. Whatever it is, you need to get it resolved. Keep us updated, daas.

Again Daas - do you have a rash on your legs or thighs? Did you get bit by a tick?
I am sending you an IM with a weird question

Could it be anxiety? I got most of those symptoms all of the sudden last July. One day my face went numb and my stomach was on fire so I went to the doc. Turned out it was anxiety. The lethargy, short term memory problems, declining eyesight and inability to focus on things people are telling me came later, but have been a problem ever since. With everything you've been through, maybe it's something you should get checked out. I've been through more than my share too and it bottles up. Not to sound cliche, but when it pops it'll ruin your world.
Hope I'm wrong and it's something that can be fixed with antibiotics. Good luck man. Keep us posted.

Could be Cialis...
changes in vision or sudden vision loss;
ringing in your ears, or sudden hearing loss;
chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling;
irregular heartbeat;
shortness of breath, swelling in your hands or feet;
seizure (convulsions);
feeling light-headed, fainting; or
penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer.
Less serious side effects may include:
redness or warmth in your face, neck, or chest;
cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, or sore throat;
headache;
memory problems;
diarrhea, upset stomach; or
muscle pain, back pain.
may be causing low blood pressure which would explain the extreme lethargy/ fainting
