My eyes are going blurry. I'm working on the new food list with over 8,400 rows. Too much to be scrolling up and down looking for what you just ate. So I have dropped in a new column for "general food type". This is a special filter, and you pull down the list and see the basic type of what you are looking for. For example, there are "cakes/breads" or "snacks/candies". That sort of thing. By selecting the general food type, it greatly reduces the foods one has to browse through. And therefore, save some time (hopefully)
The trick is to get the "general food types" right. Sounds easy enough, but then you start going into these weird things, like processed yeast spread, which is primarily protein. So how to fit it in?
The other thing, is you don't want too many categories in the general food type which will also make searching cumbersome. So this will be a balancing act.
What I need some help with, since I'm sitting here after the Nth hour, getting antsy, is someone to go through and make sure the sub categories make sense.
The pasta category really could use some help. There are a few that are over used. And some of the indigenous food items could be wrong. Once you open up the list, you'll see what I mean.
Anyways, I'm really late to the gym because of this silly thing.
