Talking about Women you see at the gym.............
There is this one I've been watching for a few years now.
Actually, she's kind of plain looking, until she smiles, and then it's like wow!
But she's younger, and I've only seen her do two things:
1) Squats
2) Deads
3) Clean and Jerks
that's it! And her core really shows the effort. She doesn't do a terrible amount of weight, but her form is spot on. You could do a video on her showing proper form. That's how good she is. In fact, of all the members that go there, I'd say she was in the top five (5) as far as perfect form goes.
She doesn't yell and scream when she is exerting, just breathing the right way, that's it.
So young lady, what ever your name is, kudos to you!

On a side note, if it's a girl goes to the gym but all she does is running on the treadmill, it doesn't actually count as 'going to the gym'.

He's the same one that wouldn't date someone that's not as fit as him.
At least she's doing something. I know plenty that don't even do that

You sure like to assume that earth revolves around you. You do realize that different people have different goals, right? Not everyone is out to satisfy your stipulations. That "Dumb cardio queen" is probably in much better health than you or anyone you're going to the gym with.

I seem to be the only one that uses the employee private gym at work, so the only person I check out is me.
I look good

I've already seen one kid through this stage and have another in it now. They are all like this at this age...I'm sure I was too. They suffer from lack of experience, perspective, and living life. I try to remind myself of how I was at that age. They simply can't help it.

I like how you guys look down on me just because I value fitness as a whole above all other aspects of life. You also say that I'm just like that because I'm young, and that I'll change as I grow up, but personally I hope to never change... Living healthy has made my life so much better and I couldn't picture myself living it any other way.

Not really. It's one thing to have a personal preference. But to call people Dumb, who take the time to go to the gym and workout, whether it's cardio, weights or both, is silly. Do you really and truly think that low of people who do cardio only? I hate cardio. I never talk down to those folks. Some people aren't interested in weight lifting, it doesn't make them dumb.
One of the top reasons overweight people fear the gym, is because they worry about other people. They worry about people looking, staring, making comments between them and friends. I'm not saying you're an asshole, I'm saying I was an asshole who talked smack about gym goers that weren't up to par. My point is that hopefully, you can learn sooner than I did, that negativity only brings more negativity. Be positive and be nice to people, regardless of your beliefs. It's the essence of open-mindedness. Then again, it's a free country, you may do as you wish.
Just so you know, folks who do cardio only are MUCH MUCH healthier than us weight lifters.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

to be real clear mate, we're cutting you some slack.
many of us have had similar positions when we were your age.
So we can look back and see how we were then, and how we are now.
You may be a legal adult. But you are far from full development, which also includes your brain. Male brain physiology usually finishes it's development around 25. And it is a statistical fact that young males under 25 have not fully developed their cognitive abilities, especially when it comes to the decisions they make and their willingness to take on risk, not only with themselves, but where others are involved as well. Why do you think that young males under 25 represent the highest risk group when it comes to auto insurance?
Don't take it personal mate. All us old bulls have went through it.

I don't hate cardio, I do lots of cardio myself. I actually enjoy running a lot. I just don't like people that only do cardio out of ignorance, thinking that weights will make them 'too bulky' when in reality being bulky takes years of hard work and good dietting. Sorry, I should have been more specific about what I dislike. Also, I don't look down on people who do only cardio, but I sure believe that strength training is important to be healthy.

^yeah. I don't know how it evolved into what it is now. I was trying to give a shout out for the few serious ladies I see in the gym, letting them know that sometimes, when guys watch them, it's not just at their ass.....

I see. I guess you've spoken to many of them. (or just assuming that they are ignorant). Either way, some people prefer to do cardio only because they have absolutely no reason whatsoever to lift weights, to be stronger or to develop any type of definition (all of which are not detrimental to ones health).
FYI, Cardio is in fact; Strength training. Other than everything else in your body that is impacted positively by cardio, the most important muscle is kept in better health than any strenuous weight lifting routine could possibly do. Especially for those folks who don't know how to breathe while lifting (safe to say over 90%), a much more forgiving task for cardio trainers.
Let's not assume people are ignorant. We all have a lot to learn. Remember, just like you have preferences, that guy on the treadmill does, too.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Well you guys are making me feel stupid. I guess I am. Young and stupid and ignorant. But at least I'm a stupid person who lifts! So could be worse...
