What have all been there when some young buck tries to show off and we have to knock them down a notch or two.
I use to go camping with a buddy who had a 16 yr old son who kept wanting to wrestle or box. I dont do either. He jumped me one night and I just picked him up over my head and tossed him onto an air mattress. He was a bit surprised and hasn't tried anything since. LoL. He weighed 140 lbs maybe.
two quick stories:
1) a few years in a row, at my buddies house on New Years Eve, the older teen age boys (around 19ish) would party out in the garage. one year, one called me Grandpa. Because I was lit and acting the fool, I ended up taunting this kid into walloping me in the belly a few times. I just smiled at him. Then I told this young bull it was my turn to hit him. I never seen a garage party vacate so quickly......
2) my son was giving me the business about three years ago. he's about 6'3" and probably 210 a the time, and about 20 years old then. So out come the boxing gloves. He's going to show the old man a thing or three, right? after about 4 or 5 real stiff left jabs, and a hard right cross, down he goes. I'm just glad he didn't bang his head on the pool table on the way down.
(btw, he still hasn't beat me in arm wrestling yet. he claims I got real drunk one night when he beat me. I told him it don't count unless I can remember it the next day)
...but there will come a time I will have to pass the torch to him. He's a much bigger frame than me, goes to the gym all the time, and just bigger all around.
Ha. I saw these guys a few years back at Gathering of the Vibes in Ct. Great set, great energy, although the the thing I remember most was the bass player wearing a diaper. True story!
