All Kinds of Gains.... All Kindzzz!
Hi,
(Please note: I'm a newbie so I don't know much about this stuff but I want you to share some of your vast knowledge to help me in some motivational issues I'm having)
So what I would like to know is about all kinds of gains, all kindzz. Before we all started training (if you can remember that far back :P) we all had our natural body size and shape. Then we worked on our nutrition, started taking supplements, started training heavy and hard and lots of it and maybe started taking creatine, steroids and so on. And thus, our body shape and size changed. We made all kinds of gains, all kindzz.
Taking out the factor of age and youth, we reached our natural height and our body doesn't change dramatically over the years (I know testosterone levels decrease etc but ignore those things). I would like to know how much of the gains we will lose if we stopped training so much. Will our genetics return us to a similar size and shape before we started our journey? I know muscle will turn into fat more so we will probably be a little podgier, but will we keep little or a lot of our gains?
For example, I know when people take creatine, they will make gains, but when they come of it, they pretty much return to the size, shape and strength they were pretty quickly after they stop taking it. Is this the same with weight training and steroid /substance use in general? I think I will be more motivated knowing that all the hard work I put in will benefit me in some way for the rest of my life and I won't return to the scrawny little kid I once was.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
