need a movie recommendation.

Been seein a gal for about the last month, invited her and her daughter (15) over Saturday. They're going to meet my daughter (5) for the first time. I'm going to cook dinner then we're all going to watch a movie (dvd).

I can't seem to think of a movie that's going to appeal to all of us. A couple of adults, 15 and 5 year old. Most of the kid movies these days are tolerable for adults, since they throw in subtle lines that keep us interested.. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

A week later we went to the theater and saw part 2. She cried again. Lol

Just pick a movie the kids will like, that way you can show her around the rest of the house

Girls love the movie Frozen, I love watching Hotel Transylvania with my niece, It's really good, otherwise there's always the classics like Lion King....

One of my personal favourites are MegaMind and despicable me....

Frozen is honestly a good movie. I'm kinda ashamed to admit that but at least you guys dont know who I am.

Hotel Transylvania was a good movie also. I may do that one, I forgot about it.

Hard to find good things for kids to watch these days without manipulating them. Ill never let them watch MTV and the latest music clips or the fricken Kardashians. It's hard to find them role models these days for young women.

try "White Fang"

both are very family centric, almost zero profanity, great story, good acting, and entertaining. Of the two, I preferred October Sky as I was a young rocketeer growing up. But White Fang is not far behind.

I'd recommend both. Maybe White Fang might entertain the five year old more, since outdoors in the wild with dogs and wolves. But the entire family will enjoy either I suspect.

There are more, but you can start with these two.

I would have never seen it otherwise, it was a pretty good movie as far as shitty kids movies go, a lot of big time actors in it too.

I'm 28. She's 32, yeah she messed up early on in life lol.

This is actually my first run at an older woman. I usually go younger. I already like it, hell she makes more money then I do. Level of maturity is crazy compared to the younger girls. I'm all over this. Lol

Bought hotel Transylvania today. I asked her about it last night, they never seen it and she said it sounded good to her. I'll report back sometime tomorrow.

everyone will say red wine with pasta, but.....

....I'm partial to Fetzer's gewürztraminer. It's a sweet German spice wine that most women I know enjoy. There are other gewürztraminers out there, but I've found Fetzer to be the best so far........

Oh Man U need a lesson in cooking. Spaghetti is the best u can come up with?

A guy I work with has never cooked a day in his life. He asked a woman he liked to come over for valentines day so he could cook for her because I told him I can find a fool proof recipe. He made it perfectly.

Went great. Kids got along. Dogs got along. We had a great time.

Yeah, on the spaghetti thing, this was a compromise between time, quantity, and quality. I make some good spaghetti, they actually were very impressed.

I made chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast. They enjoyed it as well.

The kids actually shared a bed. There were seperate beds in separate rooms, but they wanted it to feel like a sleepover. So I let them.

Me and mom slept together. Probably shouldn't have, but going out on a limb. At the very least, it's not something that ever happens.

Well at least your 5yr old had someone to keep her busy and entertained. When I was dating and the 1st time a girl spent the night (wasn't the 1st date) and the next day we stopped by my moms the first thing my 5yr old daughter did was run in and say Grandma, this is Karlie and she spent the night in daddies room... Oh the joys of kids.
