Are you on the side of Israel or the side of Palestine Hamas?
I am on the side of Israel.
I was in Israel 3 months ago BEAUTIFUL country. Beautiful women as well <3
Friendly welcoming people! And if you are a believer of the Bible you can appreciate the visit their even more!
Jerusalem amazing city! Old city and especially NEW CITY!!!! Modern! Has flavour! Taste! VIBE! Gorgeous!
Palestine territory I went to (Bethlehem and Jericho) very Biblical looking, but I didn't feel safe in Palestine I have to be honest.
Terrible what is going on now, the killings.
But I do stand with Israel!
Hamas is evil.

I dont see how hamas is more evil than israel? Who controls the media? Depends who you talk too is more evil.
Its not just as simple as picking a side like you say. This being said respect to isreal in the 6 day war. From a strategy standpoint that was incredible.Last edited by Euroholic; 08-01-2014 at 05:28 PM.

Oh yes White European Jews control the media you damn right!
But I could open up a new can of worm and talk about whether the people that call themselves or identify themselves as Jews are the real Jews spoken in the Bible!
With that said, that middle east region has been invaded by so many!
Israel are about LIFE and PEACE. Palestine made a HORRIBLE choice in choosing HAMAS as their leader! However I don't believe this was by fluke! Because some of the Palestinian people want Israel in the sea!
What is ironic is that a few Palestinians are CHRISTIANS! And a fair number of them want an Israeli governed nation.
Israel have no issues with Palestine, but Palestine have an issue with Israel.
But when I was in Israel like I said amazing place! So much to see! When I was speaking to the female Israeli soldiers on the street with their guns (who were so sexy I might add!) and speaking about life in the Israeli military. It is just an awesome place man I'd advise you to go man!

both sides are willing to fight to the death to kill the other
both sides were not there prior to WW2
both sides seem to present reasonable arguments justifying their actions
both sides think they are righteous and the other side evil
not many here can truly appreciate everything going on over there, and therefore, making any kind of judgment call without all the information. Anyone really passionate about this subject without any real skin in the game I'm going to suggest is prejudging this situation. And another word for that is....................?

and what were the populations of the Palestinians prior to that?
the population density was extremely light, as they were nomadic tribesmen and didn't settle in one place. If the population per square mile is so low that it is difficult to count, then from a reasonableness standpoint, neither "population" was there. In a sense, it's like trying to claim the moon without having any real population being able to support the claim.
In America, squatters are permitted, in some states, to lay claim to the title of land since although owned by others, those others really can't do much with it.

based on your numbers, that's 75 people per square mile. And they were nomadic. Which means, again, if memory serves, they moved around, also meaning, they didn't settle any particular area, but were more transient.
I was more referring to populations and population densities. 75 people per square mile is pretty thin for an entire region.
The British didn't steal the land and give it to the Jews. It was a negotiated settlement. The Palestinians feel it was a land steal; the very essence of the dispute.

TR, that land was Jordan. There isn't a book in history that would or can deny this. It's too recent to turn a blind eye. This density issue is not relevant. If that's the case, the Bedouins in Saudi would be fractions of a human per square mile they occupy. They move around, but they've never moved beyond their land. Once the port opened to Egypt, some traveled south, but the bulk of the moves happened after 1947 where many moved back to Jordan, up to Lebanon and a few scurried to Syria. Prior to this, they had been a solid and incredibly peaceful nation. In fact, they are the sole reason why the ruins in Jericho/Jordan still exist. They are also the same folks who built ARAMCO with us, Americans. There was little to no Saudi nationals in Dhahran during ARAMCO days. It was all Jordanians and Palestinians. They helped bring Petra back to life in Aqaba Jordan and it's now one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world, the take off point for the international hot air balloon races and a dominant gateway to the red sea which they also built. They're reaping zero benefits from any of this today and have asked for nothing.
Bunch of harmless hippies back then. They've changed. These violent streams and tendencies don't happen overnight. You're either ruled by a violent dictator, or you're pressured over years of suppression. It's sad, and the UN should be ashamed.
Anyway. To get back on topic, Hamas' actions are just as terrible as the Israeli's. That's an organization that should have never existed. But the real topic is who belongs there, and Israel does not. Not even remotely close. If you knew how much of my and your tax dollars go to support them, everyone may have a different opinion. That's an "Allie" we can do without. I can put money to better use right here in the US.
It's no surprise that ANY TIME there is some sort of major issues in the middle east, the Israeli's are to blame by the regions surrounding them. They aren't wanted there and they are right in the middle of origin-dominant nations with similar cultures and traditions. Israel would seize to exist in 90 days should we stop supporting them.
For the sake of whatever, our own troops at times don't get the backup they do.
Crap. It's late. Bed time for Bonzo.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

I'll have to agree to what you said. Too lazy/tired to fact check; ergo, you win
either way, I have no real skin in the game. Sometimes I wish we could turn a blind eye for ten years and let things "find their own equilibrium". Not a very enlightened statement, more of a "just real tired of the whole situation" kind of comment.
I believe this situation will never entirely go away by trying to negotiate peace. I think it is a pipe dream, and think that most politicians privately feel the same way. But at the same time, it's political suicide to not make the effort for peace.
A two state solution would work in theory. However, both sides are extremely angry with the other. The trick/solution is something more than an army or a politician can handle. Both populations at large would also have to be supportive. Something neither side is agreeable with right at the moment.
Again, it's a friggin nightmare for both sides. Family/friends killed. Both sides wanting revenge. Both sides sneaky as shit too. And both sides influenced by outside third parties with apparently "hidden" political agendas.
I don't really see how anyone can say one side is righteous and the other wrong....

I'm of the belief that the Palestinians and Israelis are both sick savages willing to do whatever it takes to kill the other. Now I don't think everyone there is a sick savage or anything like that. But what bothers me is that I'm financing their attempts at genocide in the way of foreign aid.
I want Israel to remove their religious apartheid and become a multicultural state, a melting pot, in the middle east where Palestinians can enter and live peacefully as first class citizens. Now I also want the Palestinians to throw down their arms and be peaceful.
Problem with this is both sides are full of racist assholes who would never let this happen. So I say fvck them both. I just want no part of it.

Don't entertain it then.
Scripture prophesied that Israel would become an independent nation again, and it is.
Being in Israel myself with my own two feet, seeing everything with my own two eyes, Israel is right where it belong!
And the Arabs invaded that Palestinian region in 70AD but people like to forget that conveniently.

Mate do you know how dangerous that would be for the Israeli people if they put the boundaries of their *apartheid* with the Palestinians and allowed them to come in with ease. There would be MURDER.
I really don't think you understand how crazy the divide is there.
Let me give you an example.
When I was there 3 months ago, and was on tour of Palestine as we was driving to the Israeli/Palestinian border heading to Jericho, our Israeli tour guide had to get off, and then a Palestinian tour guide came on the bus to continue our tour.
Going into Palestine is not the issue. However security is intense when going into Israeli territory due to all the terror threats Israel is under.

No shit Sherlock? Why do you think it's dangerous on the Palestinian side only? The Israelis are murdering rapists. Always have been since they occupied. Women and children die every day at the hMd of Israelis and not casualty of war.
You're so lost it's not even funny. Then again, you're 23 years old and have not done any real research. You think visiting makes you informed? What a joke. Get some history man.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

This is a great point. As far the Pal/Israel war you can point the finger at both. But having a Nation that wants to wipe your people off the earth to extinction is a hard one to swallow. I saw a interesting interview with the Hamas leader, they asked him if they could co-exist with Israel and after half ass answering, he finally said no. Thats not humain in anyway you look at it. The palestinians are savages. I myself dont blame Israel for what they are doing, imagine if the Indians did to us what Hamas is doing to Israel?

I agree, some of what the Palestinians do is just wrong to my way of thinking. They have the death penalty for just about anything but so do many many other countries that we call "allies"....
However imo the isaelis are worse, this is their way of thinking, listen to what they are singing which has been confirmed by the UK foreign office.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS3cRb95_-w
For years the US, Europe and israel complained, moaned and cried for free elections in Gaza so in 2007/8 there were free democratic elections and the people went with Hamas. Since this israel have refused to accept those free democratic elections and imposed a full blockade on Gaza. After years of this crushing blockade, killing the life blood out of the Palestinians they have said enough is enough and are fighting back with their rockets and tunnels. Ask yourself this, if a person puts their hands around your throat and slowly starts to squeeze the life out of you would it be acceptable to fight back?? Then how would you feel when your called a terrorist for fighting back??
I too have listened to numerous Hamas leaders, some interviewed in the last few days and when asked what they want their reply is simple, they want freedom, their own State with open boarders and peace with israel. Asked if their happy to live with and respect the State of israel and they answer yes, as long as the respect goes both ways. There is no question that some Palestinians would love to see the end of israel just as there is israelis that would love to see the complete extermination of all Palestinians....
The israelis accuse the Palestinians of wanting to kill innocent civilians with their rockets, yet to date in just this one conflict 1600 Palestinians have been killed, 80% of those are innocent civilians, mainly women and children. Im sick to death of seeing babies soaked in blood crying and shaking.....

Lol this has been going on long since 2007-08. Can't use that as an excuse to launch rockets at civilians and dig tunnels to kidnap children.

we belong here in the USA.
the reason we don't have the problems like the Israelis and the Palestinians have is because we committed genocide when we "acquired" the land from the native folk here. Something the Israelis would love to do, but cannot due to the consequences they would have to face. And hell, if they did that, then shit, we might do something terrible, like cut off their foreign aid?
-
Much longer than 2007/8, the israelis started murdering British soldiers in 1947 when they were there trying to help them create their own state, they thought we weren't doing it quick enough so they decided to slaughter a few of our Boy's...
The israelis were killing innocent women and children long before the rockets, so whats their excuse??
You fail sadly to understand BG, or is it that you think Palestinian children are fine to murder, is it because you think they're less than human but let me repeat it for you...
You claim that the Palestinians are out for killing innocent civilians, to date in this conflict 63 israelis dead, 60 soldiers and only 3 civilians.
You claim the israelis are noble, 1600 Palestinians dead, 80% of which are innocent civilians mainly women and children....

I friggin hope so. Until the winds of political change start blowing the other way. If it were up to me, we'd pull out of the region, cut foreign aid, and let things find their own equilibrium. We are an arrogant bunch, and politically feel the need to stick our noses where quite often it doesn't belong.
We wouldn't need all the frikkin foreign oil, IF we were allowed to develop Alaska.
Too many tree huggers that don't clearly think things through. And they have political impact.
-
Obama has made it very clear that he would not get involved in Iraq again, he's more or less washed his hands of that one...
If the US was to cut aid including military aid to israel they wouldn't last a week, just about every country in that region would be out for their blood and i certainly wouldn't want to see that... However they don't help themselves and in Europe this week theres been huge demonstration against israel .

You Don't blame Israel for what they are doing? Palestinians are the only ones who want extinction of the other race? Let's get the facts straight:
The Maharal from Prague (Rabbi Judah Loew – A.K.), in his book Gur Arye, clearly writes that… in all wars the attacked people are allowed to attack fiercely the people from whom the attackers came from and they do not have to check if he personally belongs to the fighters.
Therefore, during war the attacked people are allowed to punish the enemy population in any punishment it finds worthy, such as denying supplies or electricity and also to bomb the whole area according to the discretion of the army minister and not to just simply endanger soldier’s lives but to take crushing deterrence steps to exterminate the enemy.
Any kind of talk about humanism and consideration are moot when speaking of saving our brothers in the south and in the rest of the country and bringing back quiet to our country.”

Maybe so. HE has made it clear. But HE is only in office for what? Another 18 months or so? And then all bets are off.
We need to figure out a way to get out of the middle east entirely. Afghanistan is a good first start. It's hard to say Iraq counts, as it was mainly a transfer of force from that area over to Afghanistan. Granted, not all at once. But a significant portion. And the USAID/DOD funding really needs to stop too.
Not sure what to do about the Israeli funding. I agree it would be a blood bath, but they do have nukes, so that would be some kind of deterrent. I'm not sure it would matter to the jihadists? But my problem with the Israeli funding is that it is really an artificial economy they have there. It "lacks feet" meaning it is unsustainable without the foreign aid. At some point, they need to stand up on their own, develop a sustainable economy, and get realistic about what they can and cannot do on their own. Maybe at this point, they might be more agreeable about a two state solution? I think it's time Israel grows up and leaves the "financial nest" of the USA and make a go of their own.
