Dorian Yates, Kevin Levrone and Shawn Ray openly discussing their roid use in MD
This was just posted today on Dorian's page.
https://www.facebook.com/DorianYates...530514?fref=nf
What questions would you ask these guys? Given that they actually tell the truth, because I remember reading back in the 90's that these guys didnt "cycle" they were just constantly on and would keep the blood levels in check and change substances around between off season and contest prep.
Your thoughts?

It all comes down to how much info they share. If they talk about dosages and designer compounds then it will be fun to read. If they just talk in general about usage then it will be just like all the others and not particularly helpful.

Should be interesting, Yates has always been honest about taking gear well as honest as you can be hasn't gone into massive detail etc.
Still have mixed thoughts as it might being on a new wave of 18 year olds thinking gear is the only way to grow before they even begin to lift properly etc

I'm sure they'll stress the factor that they were at an advanced level and under doctor's supervision etc. Or they'll just say something lame like: "yea I was just shooting 500mg test and 500mg deca per week, the rest was just good nutrition and lots of hardcore"

they disclose, but to a certain extent, I imagine they will resist the details of the specifics of what they do. Almost like a trade secret, they treat their "recipe" as a proprietor would, as they have spent years fine tuning just for them. Plus it keeps the competition guessing.
On the one hand, they have everything dialed in based on years of experience. But on the other hand, they push the limits of safety. The problem is, what they can tolerate, the next guy may choke on.
Personally, I would prefer they DIDN"T disclose, as I imagine it is grams per week, and HGH and even slin at relatively high doses. It works for them, but I'm sure some newb would want to take it thinking "if it's good enough for Dorian......".
If there were disclosure, I would hope to the right audience, and not newbs in general.

yes. you are right, I too am curious.
but I can't say "it's the anabolics" that make him who he is. Part of it is genetics, I'm sure. I'm at an age, and of a certain body type occasionally prone to injury, which means big set backs. He seems to just keep trucking. Also, I do this as a "hobby" for lack of a better term. It's his life, I'm sure. I don't imagine he sits behind a desk during the day, and then hits the gym for up to 90 minutes at night like I do. I could be wrong, but sponsorship to a certain extent eliminates the financial need.
So, with Dorian, I'm sure anabolics is a significant part. But at the same time, you cannot discount the dedication and the intensity most of us fall short on. Plus good genetics doesn't hurt.

No, you're right about that. All the steroids and HGH in the world wont help us overcome the genetic difference. And I'm not just interested in knowing about his anabolic enhancement scheme. I really want to see it all from the gear he takes, to how he trains (schedule, specific weights reps etc) to his exact diet and even how he balances this lifestyle to his sponsorship commitments.

I'm curious about the amounts and compounds he uses vs. he overall health. As far as I'm concerned, these guys are the only people who can honestly answer what long term AAS use does to the body. No university is going to condone that kind of testing so we have to use what we got. Knowing what these guys did and then testing their health every 2 years or so for the rest of their lives is the best ongoing experiment we are ever going to get.
I understand that cuts both ways. If he's healthy, people will say, "See, I can use 5g a week and be fine" But if they aren't, then it give people an honest look at what they are sacrificing to try and achieve that level. Or, most likely, lay out what types of drugs they have to take now to make up for all the damage they did too their bodies throughout their careers. Let people know what the actual consequences are.
But all of it is dependent on them being honest about cycles and dosages.

doubtful his long term effects of AAS would be the same as everyone else's long term effects. My RBC goes out of range at relatively low doses of test. His RBC production may be less sensitive to this effect than mine. There are probably other examples. My point is that his body seems to respond well to everything he does, including less prone to injury and side effects. This is the benefit of good genetics. I don't think his long term experience with AAS would be a good basis for comparison to the average bloke.
Again, just my .02

I'd love to hear the doses, compounds & durations

Dorian talked about his drug use on London Real which is posted below, believe what you want from it. All I know is that he had a coach Paul B who worked with him to win the British championships , Paul also coached me for a short period of time and he told me some interesting things about the up and coming pro's drug use.

They will always down play their drug use. If they admit to the heavy insulin ,growth, aas, synthol use In detail it takes away from their hardwork in the eyes of the general public. If one can say they use small amounts, it makes it seem as though they had to work that much harder. Just my .02.

Do you think those guys had a normal sex life, sex drive, no libido issues or ED or is that just out of the question and inevitable at that high dosage?

Unlike with us here where we can disclose in anonymity, anything he says is public for the rest of his life. Everyone has their issues, even these guys. I doubt they would want to openly admit, if it were true, all their sex problems. What is interesting, is sometimes someone, after they "retire", they will reflect and disclose. Sometimes an interview, sometimes a bio. But while they are still actively engaged in this sport, to me it seems doubtful they will disclose, too busy competing, to busy managing the brand.
