    Mental Health

Hi guys I will get right to it.

I have been diagnosed with depression, ocd, anxiety, and possibly bipolar. Currently meds I am taking are the following: Zopiclone (Immovane) 15 mg, Surmontil (Trimipramine) 250 mg, Clonazepam 2mg, and Epival (Divalproic Acid) 1000 mg.

I am 40 years old and in the infancy stage of studying steroids . I would like to use steroids some time in the future but only when I have more information.

When I first cycle it will be a standard test only cycle.

So my questions are: will steroids possible enhance my anxiety and problems or will steroids give me a reprieve from the anxiety. The reason I mention this is because some people on steroids speak of an overall sense of well being, along with feelings of greater confidence.

Again, I am in no rush to start using steroids anytime soon.

    Thank-you all for reading.

I really wouldn't play about with your hormones if you have all those issues going on, I think its the last thing you want to be doing IMHO.

Have you always had mental health problems or is it something what's come on in later life?

Although it's widely believed that certain steroids can have a negative impact on your mental health, I haven't found a single study which explicitely concludes that aas actually do have an effect on mental health.

Regardless, the mental sides that you could get from aas use are too subjective and depend on too many factors for anyone to say whether steroids would worsen your mental condition or not. Best advice I can give you is to not touch roids. However, if you really wanna run a cycle, do it, and if you feel like it does make things worse, stop right away. And by stop right away, I mean go into PCT and don't do roids again until your mental health has improved.

Just my opinion anyway. Maybe I'm wrong.

I just typed out a long explanation and it got deleted.

So long story short, yes it can make your mental problems worse. I had bad anxiety that I worked on for years. Eventually I learned to control it. And I controlled it for 2 yrs. then I cycled and I experienced it again on a daily basis from the few weeks of cycle until end of pct.

It's all dependent on the person but it can absolutely effect it in a negative way

Please stay away from steroids . I'm saying that as someone who has a deep understanding of steroids and works around psychiatric patients on a frequent basis.
The only caveat would be if you are hypogonadal and are looking for TRT. But definitely don't cycle.

how long have you been taking this concoction of drugs for? they're short term fixes and will only make the problem worse if used long term, you need to face your problems while your on these drugs so you can get off them and face the problems the way you're supposed to.

I have been on various psychiatric medications since I was 19, so 21 years now. I have been on the meds I described in my thread for the past couple years. I keep telling my psychiatrist to reduce my meds but he says you have to take them for life. I then went to see my family doctor and told him about being all doped up everyday from psychiatric meds and if he could make some changes but he said he won't change the meds the psychiatrist has me on because the psychiatrist knows what's best for me. I really want to come off the meds or at least have them reduced but again my doc says you will just go into immediate withdrawal which could trigger a relapse, which could then lead to hospitalization

I think that these medications they give people with 'depressive disorders' is 'medicines' way of keeping 'revenue in medicine' for the rest of your natural life. They're getting you hooked on their smack. Most doctors, won't tell you to exercise, they'll push you a pamplet about an anti depressant. Sad, ****ed up world we live in.

That is completely terrible advice. Bipolar disorder can be a debilitating condition and requires lifelong medication.

Did you have to resort to psychiatric medicines at the conclusion of your cycle? How were you feeling once your ptc was completed? Did you go into a depression?

Steroids should only be used with strong mental and emotional state.

Anything else and they should be avoided altogether.

    Do not take lightly.
