A Question for the Gay Community
Again, keep it clean, and no flaming!
That said, I have a question.
It seems that gay men possess a certain "gaydar", an inner sense, that allows gays to identify each other almost immediately. I've had gay friends, and they can point out to me other people that are gay, that I would have never suspected. I'm not talking about the feminine ones, the ones that are "easy" to spot. But the masculine ones too. I'm like "WTF"? At first, I'm like "Bullshit". And then it turns out they were right.
I'm being serious here. How do you know? Is it that certain gay men have advanced intuition? Advanced ability to read body language?
Or is there some subtle clue/sign that the gay community adheres to, like say, I don't know, say maybe something silly like red socks or something?

Its a secret hand shake...... lol
I unno, I spend alot of time at gay clubs with friends ( mostly girls) of which maybe half are gay the other half like to have fun (I am not gay I love women) id say its intuition of the attraction. plus i dont think you are walking around thinking about it all the time, where they look out for it. Like how i look at women and see possible chemistry.

it seems almost like they operate on some telepathic level.....
..........there could be two gays in a crowded bar, and somehow they find each other. Amazing............
I was at an oldsters bar a couple of years back. the local hair salon had some party there, and it was all women. many were gay, and they were dancing. some intimately. it was pretty hot................

I can almost always spot the gay man (men) in the room. Maybe it's due to all the experience, having grown up in a family that owned a florist for many years - almost everyone who worked there was gay.
I don't know how I know, and I have tried to analyse it. I think that in general the brain recognises patterns that it is not even aware it is recognising. So when you have enough patterns (as gay people do, and as perhaps as some people who spend a lot of time with gay people do), you can mostly identify, even if you are not sure how you do it.

yeah, im surprised. I remember this one time, years ago, I had this new job. Talking to this one bloke, and we were hitting it off. So we get kind of chummy as the weeks roll on. Talked about maybe having a beer after work a few times. We were talking again, and I forget the details, but I think I remember him getting a call, and he gets in this little spat over the phone with is girlfriend. then he gets off the phone, and he says something like "tony can be such a little bitch sometimes". Tony? Yeah, he's my girlfriend. Didn't you know I was gay? uh, no.....
This surprised me, although I'm sure a gay person would have picked up on it almost right away. this guy was not feminine at all, and didn't have any overtly gay mannerisms. So I'm not sure how I could have known.
See, Shol'va would have picked up on it immediately, I'm sure.

ive noticed here lately that my suspicion of men being gay has increased at the gym due to my seeming to get a fair amount of unwanted attention from gay men in the locker room.
i guess im kinda like u TR cuz i remember being a bit taken back when realizing finally the dude was gay.

Many years ago I was in a gay bar with a buddy of mine. As we were leaving I was joking around and asked why nobody chatted me up or asked to buy me a beer. He told me everyone in the club knew I was straight. I asked how they knew and he said, "I don't know. We just do. It's the way you move and talk. It's just different."
Every since then I've just assumed they had some way to tell.

early in my life, while lived in Germany, I had an experience that put me off. some bloke was a music instructor at the art center on post. I played horn for eight years, and was practicing up a bit just for kicks. so I got to know the music director. really a nice guy. so he invites three of us over to his house to meet his wife and have dinner and do some partying. only two of us show up. we're passing it around and drinking beer, having a good time. I hit the john, and the other dude is gone. Later, I hit the john again, and now the bloke's wife is gone. where the fvck is everybody at?
well, you know, people come and go.........
..........the guy made a pass at me later, and I was as graceful as I could be when I turned it down. reality was, it was 2am in the morning, I was stoned out of my mind, I didn't know where in Germany I was, and needed a ride back to the base. what an akward fvcking situation. so how was it THIS bloke didn't get that I was straight? I guess some think they can get others to switch sides?
Anyone switch sides just for the fvck of it???

Not my cuppa tea to be frank
Got nothing against gays and have a couple of mates who are open about it. Just something insides me shivers when I see 2 people of the same sex in intimate relations.
Maybe I'm a homophobe or just haven't gotten used to the fact that there are gay people around and about.
Too much time being lectured about 'Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve' I guess.

double standard but women by nature are beautiful creatures to all, not just men.
men on the other hand are mostly disgusting, hairy and foul. theres nothing attractive about watching a couple pair nut sacks floppin around together. of course this is just an opinion, but i would suspect the majority of males on this planet would agree with the statement.
