Say No to drugs campaign
I noticed a 5k and 10k race in my area that is sponsored by a 'Say No to Drugs' campaign. It got me thinking..
The drugs that kill people today in America are actually most all prescribed by doctors. There are more deaths from prescription drugs then anything else combined including homicide.
Stupid campaign like this fail to realize the root of the of the drug problem today. And the irony amazes me...
Like the lady holding a 'say no to drugs' sign who's taking her prescription pain meds or anxiety relief at the exact same moment. Then soon realizes she is dependent on them and addicted and cannot stop.. And in the meantime her son is stealing them from her purse and giving them to his high school friends who are all getting high from moms drugs.. Then oops!..one of her sons friends doesn't wake up in the morning -dead. <-- this is American drug war today lol.. Pretty deceiving huh?
Which is why I laughed when I saw this 5k race going on sponsored by this silly campaign. It's like saying 'say no to your doctor'.. It doesn't work like that. It works by having an extensive education on it and having the courage to tell the doctor 'I will pass on narcotics', or by throwing out the pill bottles half used, by limiting the medicine in the cabinet, etc.
It's not about the local crack head on the corner. It's about the millions of middle class 'normal' people prescribed these medicines which leads to abuse then to death in many cases. And it leads to death so much cause everyone thinks it's safe cause a dr prescribed it..
This campaign just got me thinking how naive people are and misinformed some are about drugs today. Wake up society.

you fail to understand it's only a "feel good' concept that is not really intended to impact any social problem.
just like "safety tips" on the news are utterly fvcking worthless
just like a weather report on the fvcking news is utterly fvcking worthless during the summer.....
............"we're forecasting the 40th day in a row of bright sunny days ahead"
