Hydrostatic Body Composition Analysis
I went to the gym yesterday morning and when I rolled in there was a large trailer parked out front with a logo on it that said something about body fat testing. I asked the owner of the gym about it and he said "ya he comes every 4 months or so and it a great way to keep track of muscle and fat gains or losses." I have never done any type of testing other than gauging my bf% from the estimate pic someone posted here. So I said fvck it for $49 I'm game.
Headed home to grab some board shorts and went back. I ended up doing it in my boxer briefs as they don't trap air inside. He explained how to exhale properly and go under once I was completely out of breath, which is a hard thing to do as you're basically drowning yourself lol. Did it about 4 times and he had his reading!
I weighed in at 190lbs (in my undies on an empty stomach) and came in at 11.1% body fat. I was hoping for 10's, but I'm ok with that for now. I've only recently cleaned up my diet and it really shows even tho it's not perfect. My current goal is to keep bf% about the same and increase weight by 10lbs. I think @ 200lbs 10% bf on my 6' frame I will look decently big and cut. Time will tell.

Got a picture of you? 6, 190 and 11.1% is pretty stout

Looks about right, 10-12% is what I would say from the Avi.
Kinda cool that they have that shit in your area. I haven't seen one out here at all.
11.1% damn fair man - shit drop 5 pounds if crap weight and you will be sub 10%.

The "bf guesstimate pic" showed I was in the 10~12% but I thought it would be nice to really know. The guy running it did say that its not always accurate to guess by pics because one person may hold fat in the abdomen and not show abs until sub 10% while another may have abs at 15% and keep fat on the thighs. Makes sense, but in my case the pic on this site was accurate.
Ya its a mobile deal which is honestly a good business idea...hit up different gyms and make $40 every 10 minutes while you work.
Thanks brotha! I'm tightening up my diet on sweets and treats so that will help drop 1% probably, but I'm looking to add some muscle slowly so I can just maintain current bf%
