NYC Mayor - Cops Kill Unarmed Black Man

Cops wrestle down an unarmed black man who was resisting arrest, place him in a choke hold and he dies. As he's laying on the ground you can hear him say "I can't breath." The autopsy report listed it as a homicide (for those that don't know homicide does not always mean basic murder, just to clarify). Police are given a wide breadth when it comes to this sort of thing, quite wide, maybe too wide, but that's the law as it stands.

The grand jury did not indict but when watching this video there is definitely something wrong here, the cops did not handle this properly at all.



All of that said, this idea that cops are hunting down young black me in the U.S. is ridiculous. A simple look at the stats shows this isn't true - From the CDC:

Police killings of blacks down 70 percent in last 50 years
In 2012, 123 blacks were killed by police with a gun
In 2012, 326 whites were killed with a gun

In 2013, blacks committed 5,375 murders
In 2013, whites committed 4,396 murders
Whites are 63 percent of the population blacks are 13 percent

I do agree wholeheartedly that there is a police problem in the U.S. They are no longer policemen but rather a group of enforcers for the government. But NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has completely thrown the NYPD under the bus and that's not right either. How in this world did the city of NY elect such an incompetent moron to the office of Mayor? NY people, tell me, I'd really like to know.
