antacids stopped working
Hey guys, ive been on somac(pantoprazole) since about april or so now, on 1 pill per day taken first thing in the morning and it would cure my acidic reflux, which constantly felt liek my throat was clogged/shit stuck in my throat etc. Now over the last week or so taking one has not ridden it 100% like it used to.
Ive tried taking 2/3 per day and sometimes then it may do something.
Do i need to try a different antacid? Lansoprazole or nexium?
Thoughts? Thanks.

it is deffs acidic reflux because i know the feeling and over the past few months this does tend to happen once every few days, i might need to take 2-3 over a few days to settle it down. Im just thinking perhaps i need to try another antacid.

nope do not touch alcohol. You wont even find me walk near a liquer shop hahaha, just not my thing.
Nope dont smoke, never have, never will.
Nope dont drink coffee as i hate the taste.
Eating whatever really mate, whatever i feel like when im hungry, snacking here and there etc. Just taking it easy atm.
I would say nothing has really changed tho because even when i started taking the antacids i wasnt really on a diet.
Perhaps ill start cardio again, that may help rid some toxins or something. IDK.

Roger I have Barretts Esophagus and use prilosec daily and so far it works great. Another little trick in addition to what the guys mentioned would be to elevate the head of your bed about 4 inches or so. Apparently it helps keep acids out of the damaged area thus causing less issues.

ok so after doing a bit of online reading, a fair amount of people say after a while PPIS stop working and you need to get on another one, some even recommend cycling them in and out as some find you build a tolerance. So im still trying to get a script for omenprazole as pantoprazole isnt doing to much for me anymore.
iVE GOT a question tho.
Does high/highish bodyfat and water retention play much of a role when it comes to acidic reflux ? Thanks.
