During the squat the knees should never travel more than halfway between the ankle and toes. Ideally your knee should remain in line with your ankle, your shin perpendicular to the floor, throughout the entire movement.

I looked through chili pepper and cinamon regarding insulin sensitivity , looks like you were right to a certain extent according to examine.com .. But still more studies needed to confirm..
And yes, the girls sucking on the other thread were so cool

In a perfect world the knees would stay in line with the ankles, try that at my height and see how you fare. As a general rule you want that ankle knee alignment, but not everyone has the ideal body proportions. At some point physics and geometry take over and the end result doesn't always fit the norm.

Again this is incorrect. The heels should NEVER come off the ground at any point during a properly executed squat. If this is what you were told then the person is not an expert on the subject matter. You cannot state the hamstrings are taken out of the movement with toes being forward without also talking about hip position and back angle. The hamstrings attach proximally at the pelvis and distally at the knee. To get the most work out of the hamstrings you want a relatively more horizontal back angle and more open knee angle since the distance between the proximal and distal attachment points in this situation would be the greatest thus increasing the length of the hamstring. Hip angle is formed between the angle of the upper torso and the femurs. Knee angle is formed by the tibia and femur. So once again, depending on your specific torso dimensions, ie anthropometry, with long femurs and short tibias the knees will have to track in front of the toes a bit to maintain an optimal knee angle.

Not off the ground. But putting a plate underneath your heels or investing in the right shoes. Either way I don't really wanna argue about it.

You made the original claim, I did not. I'm simply pointing out inconsistencies.
Ironic you mention putting something under your heels to help since doing so tilts shins more forward by lifting the ankle. This in turn pushes the knees more forward, something you began arguing against in the first place, while not stretching the ankle joint. By doing this the new shin angle closes the knee angle which in turn causes the distal attachment point of the hamstring, at the tibia, to move closer to the attachment point in the pelvis. What this causes is an artificial shortening of the hamstring muscle, meaning it leaves less work for the hamstring to do, which is another thing you were arguing against before.
I'm not against weightlifting shoes, I use a pair of Adidas Powerlift 2.0 myself with a 5/8in heel. But I also realize how this in turn effects my squats and other lifts. Good weightlifting shoes are a good idea. A plate or block is not. Even though they accomplish one thing in almost the same fashion, a weightlifting shoe has other benefits while a plate or block does not.Last edited by Docd187123; 01-02-2015 at 08:36 PM.

I do squats in socks only I must admit even though I have a pair of inov-8 BARE-XF 210 which have 0 drop. Just feels like I got better form which I also see in videos of myself.

Vitamins and minerals can work synergistically when taken together. Vitamin C often times can aid the absorption of other vitamins or minerals.

Adding Apple cider vinegar to some lemonade makes it taste pretty good and Apple cider vinegar has a ton of health benefits, from helping to balance PH in the body to improving insulin sensitivity.

I tend to try and intimidate phuk tards like that, if they have zero gym etiquette, then I have zero patients. I train at 5am, so not too many resolutioners up at that time of day.

Simply asking your wife or gf for a blowjob during the day will yield an 80% increase in BJ's. I used to never get them until I simply started asking. Now, I'm getting them all the time. Now, I also make sure the dishes are done and the kitchen is clean and I'm at 100% with her saying yes.
Best advice right there.....
