Anyone else finds cutting difficult psychologically?

I do. It's easy for me to follow diet, especially on low carb when appetite is low. I like carb up days. Strength stays the same or even increases in some exercises, more veins, better facial aesthetics. BUT I just don't like getting smaller. Yes I look bigger without clothes but in a shirt I look like I barely lift. I started lifting to be bigger, so it's hard to give it up. The end goal is to be big and lean, so permabulk is out of the question.

    Anyone else shares this struggle?

I am always starving but no cutting is easy for me because I like the way I look being lean. I don't want to settle for just looking average

Yes very very very hard when you can cook good!

I love to eat and find it hard as hell to cut!

I wish I could just bulk but with my genetics I would just be a lard ass

I prefer cutting over bulking any day. I hate eating past full just to get the calories needed. I'd rather be a little hungry and fill up on veggies than stuff myself

Eat meticulous, train ridiculous for best results.

Ive given up on trying to be lean i like to eat to much. I maintain 13-15%BF and just live in a constant state of bulk.

Lately I've been struggling more with the psychology of bulking...thick trunk and moon face, loss of vascularity. Force feeding and feeling heavy and slow. I hate it.

I used to hate cutting till I really tried to relax, slow down the process and cut over the course of 8-12 months instead of 3-4 months. Also I carb cycle a little differently which I've come to really like. I do high med low high med low rather than low low low low high low low low low high etc.

The hard cutting plans with numerous low days repeated, those are only good for those 2-16wk show prep runs. In those cases, you have the show to motivate you to get the job done. But if you're eating like that just to look better it can get pretty tough.

It sounds like you've found a better approach. However, you laid out six days: low med high (that's 3) and low med high (that's 3 more) So that's six days, what do you do on the 7th? Cheat day or do you just continue the 3 day low med high rotation?

It's a love hate relationship all around

I'm currently bulking & I am starting to hate the sight of food. I pull 4k cal + a day & I'm just waiting to starve(I mean cut).

With me it has always been one or the other - cut or bulk. Since I have been trying to get big and lean as hell for a while now.

Sounds like cutting is something you're successful at (lucky Mofo) maybe it's bulking you have the true issue with? If you gain 10 pounds on a bulk and cut 5 of that to lower BF% you should not feel smaller than when you started?

I just continue the high med low as a 3 day rotation. I will cheat on the high days if I feel I need to or want to. And of course offdays are always low or medium. I enjoy eating this way.
