    I won the lottery

    Talk about luck!
    According to a recent email from a Nigerian prince I won a Kenyan lottery. He is holding the sum of ONE MILLION DOLLARS in my name, and he wants to send it to me FREE!

    All I have to do is give him my bank account numbers and send him $500.00 US dollars in cash, to show my good faith, and he will transfer the money to my bank!

    Wonder how many suckers fall for these!!!!!!!

    And then I got ANOTHER email. It's from another Kenyan prince who wants to give me FREE healthcare for life!

    All I have to do is give him:

    * MY BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS,
    * MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER,
    * MY CONFIDENTIAL HEALTH INFORMATION

    And then, if I pay $700 per month for a health insurance policy plan with a $10,000 deductible, HE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!

    Am I lucky or what?

    I think i have better odds with the Nigerian prince.

    I'd like to see the statistics on how many people actually do fall for these scams. I bet it's higher than logic would imply. I would probably not be surprised though. There are some really stupid people in this world.

    Lmao at the healthcare, but I feel sorry for someone that would fall for the first scam. Somewhere, someone is probably transferring funds right now.

    A lot more people fell for and have lost more in a short time compared to all the Nigerian scams combined.

    My dad was talking to me about something similar. Not as out there as a Nubian Prince but it basically amounted to money laundering. I was like 'are you seriously talking to me about doing this?'

    He didn't do it but lol. Come on!

    There is also a scam going around from India I think. they call saying they are from Microsoft warning you that they have discovered that your computer is infected with a virus and then go on to tell you that they need to have you allow them remote access to your computer to fix the problem. hell they even go as far as to tell you to click onto a certain area of your files and try to explain the files that pop up as the infected lines of code. Funny thing when they called me i told them that my computer was still in the box brand new and they still tried to tell me it was infected. man these guys are real overly pushy and don't give up easily. they even argue when you try to tell them they are scammers and swear that they are from microsoft even daring you to call microsoft headquarters for verification. but once you do call they hang up. And there are a tons of honest Americans as well as Canadians falling for these scams. people must be alert at all times these days for unscrupulous A-Holes out there who really end up preying on the weak and elderly in the end. These are rotten dudes from the get go.

    There's a sucker born every minute

    At least in the first scam, they kindly ask - very nice folk

    In the 2nd, you don't have a choice - we don't ask for your personal info - we just have it
