Prob right but they way they portrayed what happened and how it was reported triggered this whole thing. If it would have read, prisoner dead from police force and not promoted as a white cop killing a black person, then I think none of all that ruckus wouldn't have happened

Maybe not, but it's hard to say. In my opinion, it's very hard for the same arguments to be made regarding this incident say versus the Michael Garner incident in NY. The Garner incident, that was messed up without a doubt and that officer(s) should be punished. This one, I'm not sure. You have a police force that's majority black, the chief of police is black and they seem to be defending their officers. If race were involved I would have a hard time believing they would still be defending their officers. Now people can say they're only doing so due to government pressure, but the majority of Baltimore's government is also black, the top officials are black. Then you have the autopsy that reveals no physical damage to Gray's body beyond the spinal chord injury. If the police were roughing him up wouldn't there be more than that? I don't know what the answer to this one is, but it is unique compared to Ferguson and NY. And in my opinion, the people that have made up their minds on this issue are doing so based on nothing but emotion rather than facts, and that goes for both sides of the argument. You can't make a rational call based on emotion without all the facts. But unfortunately, we now live in a world where facts almost never matter and opinion is often deemed fact if the emotion runs deep enough.

I don't think race has anything to do with it. If you talk statistically speaking its not racist cops. Most cases are about cops abusing their power and it doesnt matter if the perp is white or black.

Old Freddie should have been in bed recovering from surgery. But since when does a criminal make an intelligent decision?

Such a broad comment. Your forgetting there are alot of smart capitalists out there. People that can turn dirty money into clean legal money.

But why should they even have to release the information quickly? This situation should not have happened at all and I believe the people would have protested even if the information was released immediately or not.

The solution is easy. Arrest anyone who is protesting in a non peaceful manner. Blocking streets, intimidating others, breaking windows etc. Do NOT allow any situation to get out of hand and if it does immediately retaliate with rubber bullets, bean bags, tazers and peper spray and of course arrest them. Prosecute to the full extent especially those caught looting.

If need be while this is going on the mayor should set a 9pm curfew over the city and without proof why you are out then you go to jail and ANY crowds/groups of people 3 or more will be arrested immediately, questions asked later.

Horrible. It's like a different country out there. The videos of the deliberate damage is just disheartening. Why anyone would wreck their own neighborhood is beyond me. They destroyed their economy and burned any chance of succeeding. Now they're left with a much needed recovery that no person wants to deal with.

When protesting becomes gang-like violence, it becomes clear that the originating cause was never a real concern to them. No different than a terrorist. That's what these thugs are, really.

This says it perfectly IMO, or it least sums up my feelings to a T. Talk about becoming a part of the problem rather than the solution, this is it.
