This is just as of an ignorant comment as the people doing the rioting IMO. I am currently living in India and brother, you think places like Australia and America have over population you have seen nothing. Even the poor people here do not riot and act all crazy even though they almost live on top of each other.

I mean, everybody has a right to protest (no matter how wrong they are). It's part of what makes America, America. And that's what I think the mayor was trying to say.

Agree that you shouldn't be running or trying to fight a cop but disagree on the rest. Unless you're actually putting the cops life in danger, especially when you're in custody, you should be in a safe place. I don't care how big of an asshole you are, your wellbeing should be just that, kept in its state of positive wellbeing. Granted, we don't know what really happened beyond what the video shows, the city is keeping that under wraps at the moment, which does not look good.

Again, it doesn't matter. Part of being a cop is supposed to be being blind to what others are. Cops or anyone in a place of authority have a higher standard to hold themselves to. Further, they are not the ones who issue out justice, that is not their job. And again, I'm not saying the cops were wrong in this case, we don't know.

The root cause is a society that's forgotten how to rule itself. The entire basis of the U.S. is self-rule and a government put in place to ensure it. And you can't make comparisons to the U.S. using other countries as an example, it's apples and oranges. The U.S. good or bad truly is unique.

I'm not defending the media but they couldn't report what wasn't known. The police and the city have been very slow to release any information about what happened.
