Wife Cooks and Cleans?
If only it was permanent... She's on summer break... it's soo sweet though.
any thoughts on Man/woman living situations. nothing like a 'housewife' I say. though it insures no marketable skills whatsoever. oppositely there is nothing like an earning woman.
She goes crazy and has nothing to talk about because she hangs with the dogs, or a toddler all day. -weirdo
The reason i say that is because i used to think a house wife was the best way to raise kids, but i've since seen the light and now i'm of the mindset that a working mom is the best way to go. Our schools are pretty good and we might be able to afford PS one day.
man i love the treatment though. a king a king!!!Last edited by C3RB3RUS; 05-13-2015 at 07:42 PM.

Yours is better then mine. I need a wife too. Instead I have a lady who comes in every other week to clean. No one cooks for me.

Mine cleans like a maniac, and can cook her ass off but I prefer to cook. I love cooking..... Now if I'm working all day - I come home to a hot meal. We have a great relationship.

My wife cooks, cleans, does the yard work, walks the dogs, keeps the kids on check for school and the 6days a week of after school activities. And 90% of the time is my training partner.
I have repeatedly offered to get a service to come in and have the house done a couple times a week for her. She won't have that.
I show my appreciation as much as I can, give her as much of mine time that my job allows, get her away a few times a year on vacation (just us), and am willing to give up my free time to stay home with the kids so she can go out "with the girls"
I'd really like to give her more of a break but like I said, she won't let me hire the work out.
We are happy this way.

My wife is a Professor so if anything this would be the reverse for me, but luckily we have a maid that comes 7 days/week. She does pretty much everything one could imagine and more (cleans, cooks, laundry, ironing etc). This morning she had taken my daughters shoes and cleaned them so they looked like they came directly from the store. If I ever had to give up this lady I am not sure what the heck I would do.

My wife is ocd and loves to clean... But with two boys under 5 it's a lost cause to say the least! But I appreciate her drive and determination to make the attempt to keep our home clean and organized. every so often I pay a lady to come and clean our house so my wife can come home and have a break but it only last a couple days till the boys have it destroyed lol

I'm in the opposite boat. Wife is still active duty air force. During the day I stay home with my 2 year old son who destroys the house faster than I can keep up with. I'm going to lose my deposit and then some on this place. At night I have a few clients I'm training but my location makes it hard to find a full time job that will pay me what I'm worth
I manage to bulk cook for both of us and I keep the kitchen and master bath clean.... other than that it everything else stays in a state of perpetual "half ass cleaned" until her day off

I started with just over 100. austere. Yes and no. I don't go with out anything. I have some quite expensive tastes in suits/leather jackets and louis Vuitton loafers. I just think so many people mismanage there money. They buy crap they don't need and they don't plan out there life properly. When i left the army at 22 they were going to give me a life pension but i choose not to i went to work to set my self up were i want to be. I could not think of anything worse than being old and waking up to go work everyday. Its about working smartly.

My wife cooks some and cleans some. It drives me crazy. I built our house myself with only my 2 hands. She knows how much I put into us having a nice home. I think she just likes to pissed me off. Lol

My husband helps quite a bit with all the household stuff. I don't have a job, but I have some minor business interests that I look after. Although I probably do more (and definitely more of the legwork for our son - education, music sports, etc. in his life) than my husband, I would say he does a hell of a lot given that I don't have a job. I feel lucky that my husband is supportive - if I had to look after everything it would seriously cut into my reading time (I'm doing some research in quantum biology and am simultaneously working on a book).
For many years we had help in the house five days a week, but I'd really like my husband to be able to retire quite early, and paying school fees and conservatoire fees etc., plus funding household help when we could share the responsibility of daily living just doesn't feel like a good choice with early retirement as a goal.Last edited by thisAngelBites; 05-15-2015 at 05:13 AM.
