That's right you are hearing it here folks! Our American president, Barack Obama has decided that because of some States In The US still flying The Old South Confederate Flag over their capitals it has sent a message of hate against African Americans. And is why African Americans are being killed in our cities everyday by whites and blacks. Even this latest rampage shooting in the southern church in South Carolina this last week was caused by that flag still flying, according to Obama. So he went on American television the other night and declared that the old Confederate Flag will no longer fly. Yep it's just that simple according to our President who declared that the old south flag was the main cause of racial hatred in America and by taking it down will stop the daily slaughter of Blacks in America. On average there are 10 to 15 blacks killed in the streets of Chicago and it's suburbs on a daily basis alone! So by taking down the old south flag according to Mr. president, no more blacks will die in America! I mean who knew? Wow I had no idea that the old flag had that much power. I had no idea that the flag was flown to promote hatred in America! i always thought it was a symbol of southern pride in the Old south and not so much about slavery and extreme hatred of Blacks! But now that we Americans see the error in our thinking by our President Barack and once and for all take down these disgusting symbols of such dire hatred, and save thousands of African American lives yearly by banning these horrid flags from American soil we can all breathe a little easier in the morning when we wake up and discover that not one Black person lost their life in America because Barack Obama declared that all the deaths of Blacks in America were attributed to that awful flag! You see that kid who shot all those poor souls in that church, who by the way I feel badly about the loss of innocent life, but anyways the federal authorities found a picture of this kid with a gun in his hands while he was draped in an Old South Confederate Flag. So there you go the hatred and deaths can be directly linked to that damned flag! Now i ask you what will happen if some other loser kid with mental issues grabs a gun and drapes himself in say our now flying stars and stripes flag and goes on a shooting rampage? Do we ban our current flag claiming it too is a symbol of hatred and must go? who comes up with this crap? I mean seriously our president really thinks this flag has been the main cause of racial hatred in America and is the main reason that Black blood runs deep in our cities daily and that by banning this flag it will stop all the killing of Blacks in America? And this man runs our country? Run for the hills boys and girls cause this man is a few fries short of a happy meal IMO..........

Of course. By erasing history we are all going to join together and hold hands like nothing ever happened. It's obvious the flag was only reason black people are getting killed even including black on black crime. Now that the flag is banned I wish they would take our guns from us. Guns kill people. I don't see a problem with it. The majority of rednecks who wave those things generally haven't taken a history class in their lives, aren't historians, and don't give a damn about states' rights (and a battle flag is hardly the best way to remember those issues). They just like it because it reminds everyone that they're in "good ol' boy" territory and that shirtless white guys in large pickup trucks are not to be messed with.

Honestly, the flag gets a bad rep because of the dumb rednecks that always put it in the back of their trucks with no tailgates, a rusty bumper, 36" tires and exhaust cut through the bed so they have stacks on both sides like a semi.

Taking down the flag won't save any lives but I really don't see why it is still flying anywhere anyways. Southern pride? Although I'm not black, I would imagine the confederate flag would bother any black person to some degree or another. It would be impossible for it not to. However, whether that flag exists or is flown anywhere or not, I would also imagine the majority of black people just like white people or any other race, most are simply trying to live their lives day to day and that flag's existence doesn't bare any real meaning either way.

The America haters, those that say the confederate flag is a symbol of how terrible the US has been as a country overall, that's probably one of the more ridiculous arguments being made. If that argument is true, then every country and every race that has ever existed is equally just as horrible as there is no society that hasn't had slavery at some point in time. If you are alive, somewhere in your ancestry there were slaves. That doesn't justify slavery but the idea that the US has done something no one else has done is also ridiculous.

All of that said, is there any justified reason for the confederate flag flying over a government building? Nope, none whatsoever. Is there any reason for an individual to fly it on his private property, one that is a good reason? Nope, none whatsoever. But because of liberty, we're all allowed to do idiotic things no matter how stupid they are on our own property.

Flying the flag over a government installation is not the same as a private property. That confederate government does not exist, so there is no reason to fly the flag over any government building.

I assure you that slavery was quite legal in the colonies, then the USA. At one point, they stopped the importation of African slaves into the South, but they were still breeding and working the existing ones like crazy. Especially after Eli Witney invented his cotton gin in the 1830s and revitalized Southern industry, and thus the need for slaves.
