I'm in the UK and don't follow US politics remotely. So my opinion here is skewed.

However when're do hear about him or read about him, I can say it always seems to be in the best interests of the country. We see him fairly often in the news. And before anyone mentions, yes I'm aware they only give their opinion.

Plus he seems like a really personable guy. Often seeing clips of him with the public of having a laugh. A clip of him flirting with some guys wife at a press conference. Another where he's presenting and had his "angry voice" actor behind him. I know being funny doesn't make him a good president, but I definitely prefer watching him to Bush!

Unfortunately, the things you just described that you like are many of the things people base their vote on. I say it's unfortunate because none of it matters. The enjoyment we get out of watching a politician, why does this matter?

Anyway, to the point of the thread, Iran's main purpose is not being part of the global economic collective. The only people that say that are those NOT in Iran...Iran doesn't say it, in fact they make no bones about what they want. Even during negotiations with the U.S. they continued to openly state their primary goal is the destruction of Israel and the U.S. I'll keep saying it, our politics has become so much like the movie Idiocracy it's eery.

The Iranian deal in real life terms:
1. Guy wants to kill you and your family
2. You and guy are enemies
3. You set up protective measures to protect you and family from guy
4. Guy complains that you're not his friend so you two agree to meet to talk things over
5. You invite guy over to your house for dinner
6. During the talk the guy tells you he's still going to kill you
7. You proceed to keep the dinner invitation open and choose to ignore the killing comment

Ok Hoggage my wording wasn't spot on, but to respond to above here goes....
Iran is probably not sending over lone wolves why because they already are here! They are heavily promoting the internet to gain even American conversions to their twisted ways and do their evil bidding.and yes this terrorist who hit our marine recruitment center was from Kuwait. again though he was recruited by the Iranians. guys it's getting bad out there and once they take down America guess whose next in line? and you all probably have not seen any of this agreement between Iran and the west, but it is so bad it's laughable. Lets say we think we have identified one of their illegal uranium enrichment bases and we give Iran notice that we are coming in to inspect that base. well by this document we have to allow them 24 days before we can even go in and inspect that base! Imagine here in the states where say the FBI determines that they have found a drug house but we have to give the occupants 24 days notice before we raid it. Wow what a bargain! and this is just the tip of the iceberg, This deal sucks and we know it and Israel knows it and the House Of Saud knows it. It's just crazy what some people believe. One of my ex co worker is very left and posted just today how there has only been 31 voter registration frauds since 2000. LoL. OK, maybe only 31 by conservatives but more like 3,100,000 by the left.

Hell they don't think there is a problem with tax fraud being paid to illegals or the multi millions in social security being paid to dead people.

The left SAY they want to help the poor but they only hurt them or make more of them. See, this is what happens when you dont watch Fox or you would know that's not true. You are believing the MSNBC propaganda. I have heard this brought up several times on Fox and even Rush Limba has brought it up.

See the problem is the other ones would like you to believe that they only give opinions and not News but what is a real news channel? If someone calls in reporting an accident is it their opinion or is it reporting news? Sure Fox has an opinion and they are truthful about that were the other stations are not honest about having an opinion or agenda but clearly they do.

Fox reports a ton of news the other stations wont touch because it's not in their best interest. At work (the only place I watch the news) we have Fox and CNN or MSNBC on at all times via 2 big flat panel TV 24/7 Unless you actually watch how can you have an opinion? That's why I get so pissed off at CNN and MSNBC so often because I hear them say this BS all the time where they either outright lie or misquote Fox.

The thing is Fox will report and talk about issues that is not popular to the masses because it makes you think and see the hypocrisy the other stations are reporting. I was at U of C law when Obama was, and he taught a law class on racism that I recall (issues in race law, or something to that effect), and also a more advanced Con Law class which was focussed on due process/equal process/equal protection - basically 14th amendment.

Agreed that in politics, "truth", like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, and very much context-dependent.
