Oregon to tax drivers on miles driven

So Oregon, the future communist state of America, is going to start taxing drivers on miles driven. WTF. So what's the point of electric cars then or cars that get better mileage? They aren't taking taxes off the gas either so 3.30 a gallon isn't going anywhere. I lovvvvvve texas. Groceries are cheap, gas is cheap. My 28k a year (plus housing and food allowance) go a long way in texas.

Every time capitalism comes along and does something great for the people, liberals come in and try to **** it up. Rant over.

Your telling me. Wish I was still there. I'll get back there eventually. Where I am now is a liberal cess pool. Not Oregon but very similar.

this is why I don't understand cops and ppl saying its a privilege to drive? I mean I pay several hundred $ a month to maintain the roads and pay property taxes on my vehicle, tags, inspections also pay for gas tax and prob more states will take on this pay per mile bs when they get greedy enough

But the way communism works is you don't get paid much of anything, enough to survive if you're lucky and you cant own a business unless government allows you to and 99.99% chance you cant be successful or profitable unless you know or are related to someone in the right place.

The purpose of communism was to serve the needs of the proletariat, communist governments simply became repressive regimes that exploited their people to aggrandize their own power, exploiting the masses even more so than the capitalists.

Full proper Communism is one of those things that sounds good but in practice it does not work. Most people need motivation to excel. Communism plays out hand in hand with dictatorships in practical form. No country has ever been "proper communism"

Then you got dudes mashing on jet skis doing under the table construction and other shit while claiming all this disability and going to child support court with papers saying they are in chronic pain and can't work or afford to pay for there own kid, while collecting from another chick they have more kids with and taking a vacation three times a year. SAD!

I think a lot of ppl have just gave up as well because my dad has pretty much no cartilage in his back anymore but still wanted to work he got laid off and couldn't find anything so he had no choice but to go on disability. and when my mom got laid off she took unemployment until it ran out completely because the only jobs she could get paid less than her unemployment did. if they would just stop playing games and create jobs a lot government help would not be needed the reason I went to school is because I couldn't get a job other than low wage that I couldn't support myself with there are so many unemployed ppl out there that wana work its not even funny

I'm pretty sure we've never actually seen a true communist state. Even Lenin didn't run it pure. Marx was pretty clear what communism was supposed to be. The U.S. labeled the U.S.S.R/China communist, and they called themselves that, but they were not really. Socialism and communism are really misunderstood political/economic. The U.S, is a social democratic republic, although we're approaching being an oligarchy. Democratic socialist nations like the Netherlands, Finland, and even partly France, they do it correctly. Especially their approach to drug laws. In the Netherlands the police don't even need guns. All the roads are nice. I was just there for three weeks, don't think I once seen a junk car. Sure, some lazy people take advantage, but that is a small price to pay for everyone being taken care of. And taxes on middle class and lower class are not as high as people contend. Especially when you consider healthcare, retirement, and education is all paid for. In Finland teachers make as much as lawyers. You have wealthy people, just that they have to share. So if you business is bringing in billions, you can't pay your employees jack. I think CEO's can make 300 times what they pay their employees. Here they make thousands of times. Anyone, not trying to get in political debate. It just America could learn a lot from the Netherlands.

The U.S.S.R. was communist in name only. They were authoritarian. And the U.S. has almost never was a true democracy. We started with the powerful controlling stuff, but the easiest 20th century we seen some movement towards democratic reform, such as direct elections for U.S. Senate, and more voting rights. But recently that's been under attack.
