That would be the US Coast guard. They do patrol but catching all of the one who try to get in is near impossible

If the people are motivated enough to defend there native soil and the government puts in enough resources your borders can be as sealed as the north korea.

NK spends everything they have on military while USA spends the most but is cutting down...But has more foreign affairs to deal with that are expensive..Remember USA is much bigger than NK nd its harder to distinguish immigrants because US is very diverse

That just reads like governmental excuses. I live on a big island which is a first world country and our entire northern and western frontier is constantly under the threat of being violated by millions of subjects from asia. They come by boat because we have no land borders. Our navy and custom agents are but a fraction of the usa and we have managed to stop these criminals from breaking our sovereignty.

Good government polices of sea and air patrols and locking the subjects in camps(regardless of age) for interrogations and eventually deportations. The will of the people saying you are not welcome and should be treated as a criminal, go back to where you came from. If a country with as small population as mine does can do it. Imagine what the usa could do with aircraft carriers, nuclear subs etc etc. your borders could be the worlds benchmark but instead are a mockery.

You cant compare the acts of citizens to foreign nationals/illegal immigrants. You can not have a open border policy and allow everybody to come in. If you do that you may as well not have nations and just have a borderless society. Imagine how bad that would be.
