Otter box or life proof case

Which one do you think is better? I'm going back to doing construction so I need a durable case. I've hade the the otter box before with my iPhone 4S and it served me very well. The life proof case seems to be just as good but some people have said that it's hard to hear with the case.

Just looking for everyone's thoughts on which is the better one

I thought about that but I don't want to risk hitting it against something or something hitting me. I'm working for a masonry company and I use my thigh to assist lifting something over my head some times or carrying preformed cement sills. It rests right in that spot where your phone would be.

Keep the glass faced towards your body. They are pretty tough now days. Keep insurance on it just in case. I take mine quadding, jet skiing, snow skiing and more without a problem.

I thought about getting something like that also but ziplock has served me well. Many of the new ones are water proof or resistant also

I have been using the tempered glass screen cover and a slim case now that the phones are bigger. Tec21 or body glove work great

I have noticed that they are pretty tough. At least compared to the previous ones. Ives
Dropped it a few times and it wasn't effected.

I used to use a zip lock bag but now I just keep the face towards my leg. And use the lock screen with the touch design lock code. I hate butt dialing. I'm a metal framer/ drywall... Carpenter and have never cracked a screen yet. I have found tons of blank picture though?and for case I use the rubber cover nothing fancy.

LoL you have to love random pictures and screen shots. I learned to keep my new phone right side up or when kneeling I bump the power button and turn it off.

I did drywall for almost 3/years. DONT make the mistake I did. Young and dumb trying to keep up with the BIG boys, I'm only 5'8" and 165 then carrying 2, 5/8 x 12' by myself many times. Once to often stocking a garage walking through mud wind and rain. Wind caught it and twisted. Heard and felt the lower back pop and sharp pain. Herniated L3 & L4

life proof is worth the money if you use it in poor weather...I just got back from a mountain biking expedition in some very hardcore terrain in torrential rain and when I got back to camp I was so muddy I just walked into the lake to wash off forgetting the phone was in my camel back pack and its good as new...so its worth the money when you find yourself waist deep in mud, water ect...otherwise its probably overkill if you just worried about dropping your phone...my 2 cents for free lol...

I use Otterbox for my Droid and I am rough on a phone. Lots of hot metal chips, abrasives, and I am clumsy also. I've only broken one screen so far and it was because someone p!ssed me off. I placed the phone on the table with 3 fingers and the phone died. Couldn't recover the contacts from it or anything.
The only real aggravation I have is if I manage to get sweat/moisture between the protector and the screen, I have to take it out of the case and dry it to get the touchscreen to work.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
