145kg overhead.
Whats amazing, is that 145kg is relatively light weight for the Snatch in international competition, even at lower weight classes.
Love this display of mobility though!

Is this still proper form? I notice the distribution of the weight on his feet seem to emphasize to the inner part of his plantar region. I thought you were supposed to be pushing the feet against the outer wall like a lateral motion to really stretch the involve the mechanics of the hip.
Tight hips can lead to unnecessary forward tilting...right?
Knees are over his feet..... Leads to problems
When you squat your knees shouldn't go over (forward or past) your knees. It damages them.... The meniscus, ligaments, cartilage.Originally Posted by Splifton
I have to look into the width because I always keep my feet at shoulder width or just beyond.
Ya I've never went past being parallel with shoulder placement in backsquats. In front squats I have to exaggerate the spacing and increase the degree of lateral rotation to my knees. I don't know if this is cheating, but on front squats I put something underneath my heels to help with maintaining a neutral spine. I find it really easy to fall forward during the eccentric portion.
I believe they refer to that as rectal prolapse? I couldn't state the classification of it, but it definitely doesn't look comforting!
Did he not maintain the contraction of his transverse abdominal muscle? Or is that just complete failure in the core's ability to maintain the rectal wall.
I can't believe that I just looked at that.

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

again... no comment.
In training...no, he is in a compromised position. But he is not squatting, he is snatching, and doing it in competition at s weightlifting meet.
I garantee you that this guy squats ****ing beautifully in training. But when you go all out in competition...you focus on getting the job done.
He just pulled over 300lbs off the ground and generated enough power to accelerate that barbell high enough for him to demonstrate his speed by pulling himself down and under the bar where he shows off his incredible mobility, midline strength and overhead strength by holding the load stable while gravity brings that 145kg crashing down, drilling him into the hole, where he gains control and stands it up.
