Edit: maybe I should rephrase - if I had to choose one or the other, love all day, because I understand love.
When I think of my daughter and her happiness, I'd rather her marry a poor, honest, faithful man who will love her and be good to her, rather than a rich asshole who drinks, cheats on her and hits her.
I'd probably go to jail for a very long time in that last scenario, but the point I'm trying to make is, once you have love and understand love, I don't see how anyone couldn't choose money over it. Doesn't seem possible to me.

It should be known that either one can be gained by anyone and either can by lost by no fault of your own. I think it is better to not have love or money as your goal, but being the best person you can and that can bring either or both.
When I was a kid someone came up with the idea to sell what is called a "pet rock." It was stupid stone in a box and that was it. It was not shiny or special in any way. It was just another dumb stone just like any you could find outside. But, people liked the idea and millions of people bought them. This is proof that anyone can get rich.
People often want what they dont have, so my guess is that being rich is a desire many of us have. But a friend of mine, who earns more than $100 million dollars per year once told me something interesting. He said the best way to ruin a man's life is to give them a million dollars. They blow through it while gaining a new sense of power and when it is gone they feel lost. Of course I wished he put his money where his mouth was and gave me a million as an experiment; but he didnt. Ha ha. Nevertheless, I do believe him even though it can be hard to imagine.
