    RIP Scott Weiland

Addiction sucks. He gave many years of brilliant music. Saw him a few years back and he was trashed on stage. The show was okay, but it kind of sucked since he was so out of it. Surprised it took this long, honestly.

Saw that, lots of musicians from that genre are no longer with us.

Pretty big STP & Velvet Revolver fan. Def a big loss. They havent said the cause was drugs yet but I am sure thats what it is. If not a direct overdose Im sure it was from something that was drug related or cause by years of drug abuse. He was a hell of an entertainer.
I actually was a personal trainer for a recording industry "sound man" in the early 2000's on "The Main Line" (what an ironic name in this case huh) in the Philadelphia area.. He actually worked with Scott Weiland and said that his manager had hired a bodyguard whose sole responsibility was to stay with Scott Weiland 24/7 and make sure he did not use drugs. At the time doing so would have resulted in him going to prison on a parole or probation violation. In spite of the bodyguard, Dave (the sound man), said that Weiland managed to "escape" on a session break and returned absolutely demolished. He could barely stand much less work. Also he was apparently not very well liked by his peers. Even in the world of rock and roll he was considered totally out of control.
So sad to be so talented yet so tormented. Maybe he finally found some peace.

    Def sad to hear

Addiction sure does get to so many - it's like a mental Black Plague.

And the generation of musicians he is from is almost all gone.

R.I.P. Scott - Still very sad to hear
