Well some get great reviews. But like the bow flex versions.

Not really going to spend 300$ on something she will use for a few months until back into the gym.

I found a cheap set (non adjustable ) but only goes up to 8-10#s. Which really is nothing

Check on Craigslist, eBay, or some local second hand exercise equipment store and find some used ones so you don't have to spend too much

Oh yeah, got a question for you chef

Plan on doing some venison roasts in one of those greaseless turkey 'fryers'

What temp should i could the meat to, 150-160?

It has been marinating since Tuesday and I have been injecting it with garlic creole butter. Going to stuff it with garlic and onions right before cooking. Also made a spice rub for the outside to form a crust

Jesus man....do I get an invite if I answer? Lol.

160 would cook it throughout. Never cooked a venison roast before.

I would suggest pulling it at 150ish...and letting it pull over while resting.

Surely, bring the wifey and that new bundle of joy on over! (I love to cook, wish I had a house for toys)

That's what I was thinking, venison roast do not have a lot of fat so worrying about it drying out, hence the creole butter concoction injections

The combination of fryer, butter, and letting it rest (do not cut into it) will help it stay moist for sure

I have them and I would never buy again. They are too long. Mine go from 5 to 30 lbs or something like that. I click to lb setting and which secures the weights selected leaving the rest in the holder. The length from end to end makes them cumbersome.

    I would rather have dB in various weights. 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 etc.

Or kettle balls. I find them more versatile!!!! Kettle balls!!!!

The reason I bought the adjustable was to save space. I ordered them online without trying them out. Mistake. Big MISTAKE. I thought I would get used to the size. Never happened.

Kettle balls depending on what type of workout interests wifey!!! You can always take whatever u buy back!!!

This is what I was thinking also.

Space and money. Was looking at 2#-25# sets and they are pushing 300$.

These dbs are just a last minute gift idea, and was thinking on the cheaper side but doesn't look like it will happen.

And I bought her the PIYO workout set. Something new, I don't know anything about it. But I heard her talk about it, and she follows on fb. She normally weight trains and cardio.

PIYO is a mix of PIlates and YO. It's tough. She'll like as cross training plus nice to have something at home in case she can't get to a gym. Good gift! Well played!

LoL. Kettle balls are new to me. I'll have whatever Mrs Marcus is having please.

Marcus posted a Mrs kettle ball workout. The weights were less then I anticipated. But he had her at high reps. Looked like Killer workout!

A buddy of mine has a set of adjustable dbs. I've tried them out and they're pretty good actually.

May take some getting used to but it seemed pretty cool to me.
