Christmas presents
What did you get this year?
What did you give this year?
What's your best/worst memorable gift you have ever gotten?
My Christmas was low key this year. I didnt buy a lot of gifts. Gave the youngest daughter a few things she wanted that were/are classics. Play-doh (multiple colors), spyrography, Japanese candy (stocking stuffer) and a couple of other things.
Older daughter only a nice slow cooker and donated the 20+ hrs work I did on her BMW.
Wife..... Nothing personal but something she has wanted for almost 2 years. New dining room light fixture. The original one that came with the house looked like a fish hook hanging from the high ceiling so I got a H 50" x W 30" French Empire Crystal Chandelier.
My best memorable I would say has to be a Very Good automotive paint gun my girlfriend got me 30 years ago. I know she had to save a LOT and also put a lot of research into it long before we had Google.
My worst memorable was probably from my mom. She was always bad/stingy when it came to gifts. My 2nd wife talked to her before she was coming over one Christmas holiday and asked her what she had gotten me. She said nothing. My wife guilted her into getting me something before coming over so she stopped at a 7-11 on the way and picked up an ice scrapper for the car windshield. LOL
This should look a little better and size appropriate for the room.
There are 198 of the large crystal balls I have to put on as well as the chains and assemble most of it. Luckily all the little crystals are already put on because there are 100s of them. The large ones are pretty big and heavy. The box they came in separately is around 40+ lbs.
NO it's not not installed yet. I know, I'm a slacker. lolLast edited by lovbyts; 12-26-2015 at 10:32 PM.

Both kids are in college so the wife and I got them each a few clothes and an envelope with cash.
They wife and I take a couple of trips to Jamaica each year so we don't exchange gifts for Christmas, birthdays or anniversary.

Oh I'm SO looking forward to hanging all those crystals after putting up the chandelier. lol I'm just glad I was smart enough to buy some scolding before I started my remodel 2 years ago so it really be much of a problem reaching everything and not having to climb up on a ladder.
They even sent a pair of white cotton gloves for assembly. hahaha I already told the wife it's her job to run a pipe cleaner with a little olive oil through all the holes drilled in the crystals to clean up the diamond dust. Yeah yeah I know Ill be doing that also, all 198 crystals.

I don't know if they're better than Vitamix, I think they're about on par. Ninjas are easy to clean though and they got powerful motors. I've made mistakes of buying cheaper blenders before and ended up having to replace them due to burned out motors so much, I would've saved money just getting a high end one in the first place.

Vitamix is crazy expensive..... Not worth it to me. The ninja is perfect for home use. And $300-$400 cheaper

I got my husband a drone he wanted and now he's gone whenever it's not windy. I do however have nice aerial photos of the farm and countryside.

I think it was about £650. So not nearly as much as $2k. But still it takes nice photos and he is enjoying (obsessed) with it.
Although he's buzzed the chickens with it a couple of times, and they are not amused.
