    Brew your own........beer! ;)

I would like to get into it. Brewing beer that is.

Does anybody have some experience doing it? If so could you clue me in? What goes into the process and how much am I looking at spending to get started with legitimate equipment? I saw a kit at Target that I bought for myself (I know it's probably heresy because it's obviously low quality) but I just wanted to give it a whirl to see if it interests me.

Just buy a kit and learn the basics first then you can graduate to more complex brewing methods. Kits are pretty damn good these days.

This is a great place to start

I brew. Start out with kits, read a lot, then graduate to partial mash kits and finally to all grain if you wish. You can even get into malting/kilning your own grains. I know those who grow their own hops. Point is, you can keep it as simple or make it as complex as you wish. Bottling vs. kegging, it goes on and on. Here's a couple of links I've found useful.
