I am always amazed by the number of people doing bench work and how few do legs. I have over 40 years in various gyms and the leg area is always a small area tucked away with next to nobody there. I am not complaining because when I want to squat or deadlift there is never a problem, but it makes me laugh when I see someone with a well muscled torso and toothpick legs. I imagine that is why a lot of the guys in the gym always wear long training pants, they don't want to show off their toothpicks. I have always liked squat and deadlift days, the heavier the better.

Long pants is often the subterfuge of choice.
We've all seen 'em: Statues from the waist up, 14-year-old boys from the waist down. It's like they only ever see themselves in the bathroom mirror. My current gym has 16 squat racks and 8 platforms so getting one of either is never a problem. But, in the past, I always made Monday leg day because all of the bro-tato chips are doing chest and tri's on Monday.

I train at home, but have a family membership to the Y as well. I decided to try something different last week and did legs at the Y. My first thought when I walked in was oh sh!t, only two squat racks. But no worries, nobody else came within 10 feet of that area for the whole hour I was there, lol!
