Have a chiro/physio appointment myself this week. She(the Dr.) and I spoke briefly Saturday and it sounds like there will be a good bit of IASTM/Graston work coming up. Really hope it puts my shoulder back in business.

Pretty decent right now. Just the dang shoulder which kills so many lifts. Really curious to see what they have to say at my appointment!

You are right, a bum shoulder effects so many lifts that it can make working out seem almost like a waste of time. Keep us posted when you have the results!

Have you tried running low dose deca yet? It made 100% difference with me. Also push ups every day, it just seems to have strengthened what was weak with just body weight movements.

    Exactly!

This made me not even train chest, I just didnt want to have to endure the disappointment, yesterday I benched just a little with arms.......I feel so good being on the bench again and being able to push some Db's after more then a year. Hopefully my chest will pop now!

Yes sir, still on the Deca and var. I did have a go at pushups but got a pretty bad pain in bit anterior and posterior heads.
I'm hoping it is scar tissue and an adhesion that can be broken down by tissue manipulation? Pushups are defo back as soon as I can do them w/o issues. I like to do them just prior to flyes and presses occasionally. Really makes you feel all of the fibers working.

Gus, I must have done a good job on the legs yesterday. They haven't been this sore in a long time... They are crushed and my chest is still rocked from Sunday. Using the smith machine was great cause I could go super heavy with no spot. I'm just starving too. All good things from training!!

I'm a firm believer in benching with a smith machine. I can place so much focus on my pecs using a smith. Also as you mentioned, the safety factor. I'm usually alone in the gym so it's nice knowing you can greatly reduce an unwanted incident. Sounds like you're dialed in bro!! That's awesome. I crushed chest today myself. Legs yesterday didn't pan out quit like I wanted. The gym owner decided he didn't want to run the a/c yesterday and just prop the doors open. I live in the SE, so with temps in the 90s and humidity in the 90s you can imagine the shape I was in after 3 sets of squats and super setting leg extensions and leg curls. I kept a garbage can close by.

Agree smith machine and hammer strength are my go to lifts. At my age no reason to risk injury and I have no ego. Especially if you look good

I agree with smith, but just for incline. I have hurt my shoulder twice doing flat on it, maybe some lighter stuff, but if your going over 285 or so I dont recommend flat. You need bar movement so it can come down on a slight angle towards the bottom of your chest. Take the pressure off the shoulders and more on your tri's.

Maybe I underestimated my leg workout...things are starting to get pretty sore. Lol

I agree BG. I actually find myself doing less flat bench on a regular basis and much more incline work, in general. Although, I did do some flat bench today, it was the first time in a while.
