Same here. My presses start at about pec level but come up at an angle and end up ~ over my nose. With a Smythe, you lose that angled drive. My shoulders need to be able to track individually and a Smythe just locks me in too tight. It's not nearly as much of an issue for me on incline though.

Thanks, guys! I am really hoping it is just adhesion/scar tissue from swinging up the heavy-ish d'bells for presses instead of assisting them up with my legs like I should have been doing all along. The only other thing I can think of is I ruptured the bursa in that shoulder ages ago, hopefully it won't be related to that. That cost me 12 weeks of PT.

The gym I trained at this time had one that goes straight up and down. It was nice not having to deal with that angle.

My dumb gym got rid of the straight one and kept the angled one, sucks.

Pulled/strained my left anterior delt so cut shoulder workout short. Don't think it's anything serious, pain was gone after about 30 minutes. Still, going to give it a breather for a bit and work around it.

Thanks BG! Ya I'm gonna be aggressive with the therapy tonight. I super set MP w/ front DB raises and just over did it I think. Doesn't feel like an injury, just over exertion, but that can be aggravated into injury and I sure don't want to go down that road!!

Thanks brother! Think I got a little over zealous in the gym today. Lol. Blast is beginning to kick in and I have to keep reminding myself to go nice and steady and not get carried away. It's difficult when you feel good and you're strong.
