**What are your goals**
We all aim for something whether its to be bigger, thicker, beach body, less bf or to be a walking monster.
The goals we have drive us to do extreme things which could drugs, dieting or being dedicated to a certain lifestyle until you reach your goals.
What are your true goals?
Do you ever think you will achieve them?
Do you look up to anyone or have a role model what drives you to look similar?
Are you frustrated or can you see each year a drive forward to your aims?
Lets here it and discuss

To be looked up to for your physique and determination that sets you apart from joe blow is always nice but my main motivation in my weight training is personal satisfaction and pride at doing something well..it's a hobby I've had since highschool my brother and father both bodybuild and strength train I wrestled and played football when I was young and have always had a natural anxiety that I loved releasing with weights..as far as role models I think we all look up to Arnold but the Rock has really done great things with his physique and life the way he has pushed through injurys looked different for different roles and always maintained a classy personal life and has achieved a lot..I wanna b a ball of veins and muscle at 5 10" 220 and maintain that to old age I think within the next year I will achieve this..I want it more now than ever

My goals are to cause headturns by beeing big, not "prettypretty" and to make other girls want my body (not personality or friendship), even though im married.
And im working nigths with drunk people and i wanna be so big that they all think ok, that guy i dont argue with.
I will achieve them december 2016.
I like Dave Batista. He is scary big, yet a body girls love and a BAD killer attitude.
I think most pro bodybuilders dont have personality.
Im never pleased by the way i look, but not frustated. As a 44 year old i see things in perspective and i actually easy realize that 99% of the guys in the street are smaller and more fat (but ok, they dont use aas though:-))

Physique-wise, I was always a slow/non-responder, so I always had that muscle dysmorphia thing plaguing my psyche.
From the beginning, I always thought AAS was the missing piece (and genetics regrettably), but in order to achieve my other goals such as my marriage (this is year 30 for us), work, etc. I didn't do AAS. . . but always wanted to, that goal has been with me for decades.
So after my second hip replacement 4 years ago, I felt a resurgence, a re-birth. And then the pieces just fell into place: TRT was common-place and accepted, and the most important one for me, I had my wife's sincere blessing. That first injection was heaven, HUGE goal achieved.
So now almost 1 year later, I'm up about 15 pounds of muscle. For the first time in my life, I get a couple of looks or comments about my physique. At the gym when I get a nice pump going, I actually look kind of big - like I belong. That's a goal I never thought would happen.
So now my goal is to let the Test help me keep training & growing till the day that I die.

Have an ex-co-worker & friend. He was BIG, natty and was an Olympian in the field events. He did the same job as you. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, from what I recall he said it was just his size that pissed off the drunks. He got jumped and stabbed after work.
Be careful big guy, drunks are just that, drunk. I wish you the best Sil, take care.

225 lbs, 10% bf or less.
But before that it was 210lbs. Ones I hit them I figure out a new one!
Ppl I look up to are not in the lifestyle actually. But they all say strive for greatness and never give up!
Frustrated? All the time! I hold myself in higher regards to pretty much everything in life. No matter if it's just giving advice or killing it at the gym. Helping someone or working at my career. I HAVE TO BE BETTER ! haha, so if u don't see a big change or results then I'm pissedLast edited by 73rr; 09-10-2016 at 12:31 PM.

interesting thread indeed.
for one, nobody can say what strawberries taste tastes like, that's why all of us try the same and similar over and over again to experience it in our own unique personal way. Call it a goal or having a trip over the sequence of personal lifetime physical, emotional and intellectual changes, its all exciting, so long as one knows where he is headed.
Roller-coaster of life huh?
my goals? never ending
but for most my goal is to have more exciting goals that keeps me up and excited to explore and grow.

Yeah size may piss them off. So u have to act like a puppy. My experience is the same as your friend. If u are big and acts like you are big, then ur going into a war. But..if you are big and very non-offensive and cozy, it works out very well. Better than if you are small, non-offensive and cozy.
Anyman, thanks man

My ideal body would be something like Hugh Jackman's wolverine... bone structure is close to his, but I'm significantly paler, and loose skin from being an ex fattie would make impossible to look that ripped.

Longevity.... & not wasting an ounce of muscle tissue

When I started my journey 7-8 years ago, I wanted to be a monster. I trained 7 days per week, cycled young (mistake) and put on good amount of size/muscle.
2 years ago I realized I didn't have the genetics to be a "monster" and went for the beach body. After 4-6 weeks into my beach body journey I was told by a couple BBers to try a mens physique show. The show was 10-11 weeks away and I went in and won the overall title. At my next show I received my national qualification.
I know you asked for goals and not my life story LOL but this brings me to my current goals... After learning how my body reacts to different diets and training techniques I'm starting to think I have a lot more potential than what I thought. Currently looking to get bigger/thicker in my pursuit to be a "monster" and hopefully I can make the switch to classic or open BB in the near future. I don't want to make the switch until I can step in and win a show tho, I'm not down with participation medals so if I need to take time away from the stage, I will.Last edited by Livinlean; 09-10-2016 at 04:55 PM.

This is a great story LL! By your Avi ID say your tip top(for men's physique) obvioulsy so by winning lol
I say story b/c I just started this journey when I joined this forum... Life changing to put it honestly! It's been a little over two yrs(my first documented cycle here was against the grain, too) using prop/primo/var - not knowing how I'd react(luckily well)... So I'm just saying with all you know and your drive don't ever count yourself short - I should be dead - but I was given a not one, but a second and third chance at life itself... Sure lots of injuries but I decided they will never define me as a person & I will still re-define myself more and more and better and better...
It may take me a little longer with how I may have to train later in life but like above if we put our mind to it we will more than likely succeed! BBing is no different, imho! All the best LL & you've got an off season of more to get to light heavy!

To be well balanced in strength, cardio endurance, muscle endurance, lean mass. For my body To be an efficient Machine like a USA diesel combat hummer and my mind a healthy sharp top gun pilot. (Metaphorically ).
I figure looks will come with with the science right and a great diet
Main long term goal is an SFAS (special forces assessment and selection) program. United States

I use to think Jackman was a cool guy like a normal celebrity that you could have a beer with and have stuff in common.
After seeing an interview with him where he admitted that he put risers in his shoes to be taller than Ryan Reynolds on the x-men set I think he's a total weirdo.
Why would someone with those stats and who was voted sexiest man alive have a complex where they need to be the tallest person in the room?
It's not like being Tom Cruise where most of the women on set have inches on you, I can understand why he'd wear risers.

Number one CrossFitter in India, Masters Class age 45-49 in 2018. Ever since I made this switch I have to make zero effort to get leaner. It is just happening so my vanity goals are fulfilled by my aspirations in themselves. Fun to see everyone's goal!

You're right he has a good physique but I don't think he's used aas.
You're talking about someone who has near perfect genetics.
Imo Zach Heffernan achieved a better physique this summer to film Baywatch and I think he's natty also.
We might be setting the basis for a new thread here with our tangent lol...

Ehh I do agree efron looked pretty good this summer, but I do think if Reynolds would have dieted and trained as hard as efron he would make him look silly if the were side by side. Agreed we might be high jacking this thread, but it's between us and the attention whore lolol.

It's a difficult call without knowing him more personally.
Don't forget all those scenes are shot right after he worked out by professionals under perfect lighting then computer enhanced.
Imagine how much better your photos would look if they were shot by a photographer under artificial lighting and then photo shoped.
