    Math phone/tablet apps

As anyone used any? I downloaded one for my future college algebra class. Do they work well? I am ridiculously poor at math.

The most powerful and diverse phone/tablet app is wolfram alpha.

Are you allowed to use graphing calculators?

Advance maths is hard. But like with anything apply your self, practice and a will to dominate and you will succeed. You get out what you put in bra.

It's online so I don't see how they would stop me regardless. It's going to be basic college algebra. Nothing crazy.

Not sure what type of degree you're pursuing but all upper level mathematics are based on algebra.

The most difficult thing about calculus and linear is remembering all the algebra laws.

Wolfram will do everything you need to answer all algebra problem and will usually show you the steps and provide a graph.

The most difficult part is entering the data and learning the textbook format on which wolfram is based.

A newer graphing calculator with CAS (computer algebra system) will help tremendously.

Two of the best models currently available with CAS are the TI Nspire CAS and the HP Prime.

I have MATlab on my laptop but still used my TI Nspire CAS everyday for vector and matrix algebra.

When I took linear my Nspire enabled me to finish an hour long mid term in 20 minutes and a 3 hour final in one hour.

If you have any questions just let me know.

I'm also a calculator nerd so if you want anything used I'm sure it's in my collection somewhere lol.
