    Serious firearms collectors?

One of my passions other than bodybuilding and 12 volt car audio, is collecting firearms

10 millimeter happens to be my favorite handgun caliber other than the 44 Mag and the 480 Ruger Alaskan

And you guys got some favorite types of guns my favorite pattern pistol is the CZ 75 and clones of that pattern

I have a hard time picking a favorite caliber a lot of it depends on what I am using it for.
conceal and carry I love my glock .380 cal. for hunting I swear by my .300 RUM.
For long range target one of my favorites is a AR10 .308 that has a few minor modifications.

Cool thread couch. 45-70 leveraction marlin, mossberg 590 tactical 12 ga., 20 ga., glock 9mm, 30-06. I used to be a nut about guns! Ate slept lived and breathed rifles. Wanted to be a gunsmith growing up till I found out there was no serious money in it. Wish I had my old 7mm RUM. I tried the Short Action 7 rum and I didnt like it as much. If I had to choose one pistol it woul be a tie between a .45 long colt SAA or a good 1911 .45. Glocks dont fit my hands. Any shotgun will do as long as its twelve guage.

If you want to build an upper I'll give you a great deal on a Seekins Precision IRMT-R factory blemished upper.

BCM is the best bang for your buck on pre built uppers.

After all the trigger mods have you installed an armorer plate and physically disengaged the sear to see the drop safety engages?

I've had half a dozen aftermarket triggers in my carry 19 and the only aftermarket trigger that still engaged the drop safety was the Royal Arms.

Is it bare? I will have to see what I got. I may actually have a stripped upper. I can't remember, I sold off a bunch of AR pieces I had laying around. I had like 3.5 AR's worth of parts before I moved that I had accumulated. Lol

Yes, I had to round the auto firing pin safety to get it to always cone back on because of the pre travel adjustment

At first it wouldn't engage, always off, (its shaped like a valium, now its domed)

    Its always on now

I'm no dummy with glocks, I mean how can anyone be, its a pretty simple pistol. Just need to understand all part interactions and purposes or reasons.

Haha I'm familiar with that situation. Yeah it's bare but an IRMT-R model so you can only use a Seekins rail. You should look a Seekins Precision's products because you might not like their choices.

They do firearm machining for some of the big manufacturers and their private stuff is far out.

Ok, I hadn't heard about them. Most of my parts and stuff I got from a local supplier that turns their own barrels and rails and such. My brother also gets parts cheap since he is a Vet. So we usually would do matching orders to get more off and such.

But they are true Franken guns that I build. Magpul trigger assemblies, Umbrella corp lower
Precision Arrow uppers etc etc. lol

That's one of the great aspects about building an AR. You can make it however you want using whatever parts are available.

I think it's also why leftist politicians are scared of them,or maybe...

Its nice to see numbere, and MuscleScience are using quality AR parts. I hate when I hear parts are parts, and only a few companies makenthe parts. Most people dont understand that even though a few companies make the parts, thkse companies make the parts to the customers specifications. Thats why its important to use companies like BCM.

I recently got rid of a bunch of stuff that was redundant, but I kept what I wanted. Now I will buy again what I want. I have my lmt mrp cqb, 2 BCM bfh 14.5 uppers on lowers I built. I got rid of a few noveske rifles, a couple colts (6920, 6720, 6940), some bolt action rifles, and some other random stuff. I also got rid of all my reloading equipment which I never wanted to let go, but I moved and didn't have the space.

relaoding equipment will be replaced, but more streamlined. I had 4 presses, and tons of stuff I didn't use anymore. As for guns I will add to the collection, but they will be thought out. I already know what will replace what I sold, and thanks to trump I have time to make it happen.

I also only posted a few things, because im paranoid and will never list all my firearms. When they come for them I dont want them tonhave a list of what there looking for.

My favorite. Brazos Custom built 2011. Doublestack wide grip frame. Built in .38 super and highly tuned. This is a tact driver.

Its rough selling firearms. It's like breaking up with a girl who was great in bed. I sold two Weatherbys once. Got paid upfront but they disappeared in UPS transit. The guy who bought them probably has the rifles and the insurance money.

Sure hope you didn't get rid of your reloading dies.

My older RCBS setup takes up so much damn room with all the extras needed. You'll be much happier with a new RCBS or Hornady setup.

Nice! It sucks cutting the half moon out of new or surplus mags. Plus you can use polymer.

I got rid of eveyrhting. When I buy new stuff all dies will be redding or forster. I had a rcbs rock chucker, dillon 550, redding t7, and a cheapie lyman press.

When I buy again I will go with a forster co ax, dillon 1050, a dillon square deal b, and a dillon 650. The thing about the reloading stuff I wish I would have kept was the powder, and primers.

It would be nice to still have it all, but I had a 7 drawer craftsman rolling tool box just for dies and tools. My bench had drawers built into it as well so the amount of gear there was just no way around selling it.

Ojce I get out of cali I will also start collecting stamps for the NFA toys.

I love guns! I actually built an AK not to long ago. I bought all the tools to do it and it was a little stressful but a lot of fun. I learned a lot and pretty much know the gun inside and out now. Im really looking forward to my next build. My first gun was an ar-15.. I think I may build my next one... buy the jig and a parts kit like I did with my AK. I also have a GSG5-22 which is fun, but the gun runs very poorly. I only have one hand gun at the moment- a smith and wesson m&p shield 9mm. Hoping to get a 1911 someday and would love a snub nose revolver.

You need a .458 socom to round out that group of AR's
And is that .17 an HMR?
Is a glock your primary carry?

Definitely, .458 is on the list of future investments.

Yeah it's an HMR. It's such a fun little rife with great ballistics. Has taken everything from squirls to turkeys to whitetails.

I carry my 19 every day in an Incog Eclipse.

    What's your collection look like?

I fell in love with the HMR a couple of years ago. Touching groundhogs in the neck at well over 200yds with that little gem.
I searched until I found an semi auto, most manufacturers tried to make one but they couldn't compensate for the case pressures. I have a Magnum Research and a Accel Arms. I liked the Magnum Research the most. Keep em clean and they are little beasts.
I have been eyeing that Alexander Arms .17 too.....damn it....I already have gunbroker open on another tab...lol
