How many of your guys work out at home vs a conventional gym. If you have one at home, what kind of gear do you have. Im thinking of setting up a gym in my garage.

When I first started training I did it at home but as I advanced I need a gym now with lots of equipment
Sounds reasonable and one of my concerns with investing in gear for my home
I workout at home I just have the basic stuff bench squat rack 900lbs of weight.Leg ext and curl machine.
My buddy is a welder and I got him to make me a squat rack a couple years ago. I have an Olympic bar and weights. im thinking the only think I would need is a lat pulldown/ rowing machine at this point. Its not about saving money, its more of a time factor for me. right now the only time I can train is on my lunch. so Im getting about 30-40 min in the gym but its a bit of a rush and I'm not enjoying it being under the gun so to speak. I may pull the trigger on this just yet.
kel has one and i know he likes to use Craigslist to find used equipment
call on local gyms in your area to see what they do with older equipment

Use to workout out in my garage around high school days. Bench Olympic barbell and curl bar , leg extension and dumbells. Basics...that's wen I was naive to lifting and training proper. Advanced to a gym just a few weeks ago , prior to that I first got a gym pass like two and a half years ago when I first started training again after like eight years since high school

I have to work out at home sometimes. I have a bunch of equipment but no one to spot me and I don't feel comfortable pushing myself as hard as I want to. Can't go til failure. It's convenient but can get dangerous if you are alone.

I got a squat rack with safety pins for that reason. I don't bench with a bar but with dumbbells because I have no spotter too. I feel safer going to failure on bench without the fear of a bar crushing my neck. lol.
