Wierd hard pea sized lump under chin were thyroid is

Well as title says, I been feeling this for a few months now, just realized this lump I been playing with (touching) is directly were the thyroid is. Dead center of it.about a thumbs length from front of chin.

Any ideas as to possibly if its a tumor, growth, or supposed to be there?

Probably fatty tissue deposit, but unusual place for it.
I got one on the side of my stomach.
Like a small pearl under the skin, invisible and not painful,
but can be a little sensitive to touch.

A friend of mine who is a massage therapist says it seems more men than women have this.

    Is it totally painless?

    Go check it out.
Most likely nothing, but you know.
Would be terrible if it was and you didn't do anything with it when you had the time.

Painless = check it out with a doc.
No need to freak out but check it out.

The difference in waiting is a simple surgery to remove it,
compared to full spectrum radiation/chemotherapy and unsure future,
IF it turns out to actually be something.

It could be a sebaceous cyst. I had one on my back I just had removed and is a reason I'm afraid to put pictures up. It could be bad for my career if someone picked me out based off my scarred back, lol. It's worth getting checked out for sure.

I've had a sebaceous cyst, its definitely not one. Its almost feels like acalcium deposit

Eeesh. Get it checked out. I'm sure it's all good, but with any type of growth/cyst, is better to be safe than sorry.
