    We had turkeys in my back yard almost every morning growing up. Magically
    The bastards would disappear just before hunting season...lol same with Doves during dove season.

    I just got my first bow..Cant wait to get out there. Not a lot of turkeys where I am at though. Mostly javelina, mountain lions, coyotes. Im sure they all taste like shit but Im going to eat them.

    Anyways, to my opening day.....I killed the bird of a lifetime! It was a stud. 4 year old bird, full strut with hens, spitting and drumming. It was awesome. 10" beard and 1 1/8" spurs! I'm still all smiles.

    i actually purchased a set of calls this year to practice

    i haven't been turkey hunting yet, but it looks like a thrill
