Aesthetics
On my way home from Mr/miss Scotland nabba bodybuilding show. Was great however some guys had some serious cases of gyno on stage as well as the heavier guys having some uncontrolled gh gut.
I think the gut is taking over and ruining the aesthetic look a little.
What are you guy's thoughts?

I think over here in the states that the gut has been so demonized that most competitors are trying to stay away from getting one now. It was really bad awhile back, but for the most part, I think people try to avoid it now. Of course there are still some... lol.

Lol I'm new to the scene so it's all I've ever really seen with heavyweight guys. Even the guest poser looked pregnant.
I just feel it's too overlooked by judges and it's an okay thing to have. But when people say 'i don't want to look like the guy on stage' ... we have problems

I think that's exactly what caused it to quickly go out of style here. judges seemed to overlook it, and fans started voicing their opinions on it, and it seems the tide now is shifting to keeping the midsection tighter. Which is A-OK with me. I have a lot of respect for the big guys, but much more for the big guys that keep the gut in.

When they started awarding bigger than aesthetics boudybuilding was never the same. Frank Zane. Mike Mintzer. Those were true bodies.

In that case Arnold won cause he was Arnold IMO.
Same things happens a lot, to prevent it I'd say one should impart one rule;
If two bodybuilders are even in total, (truly even),
then the one that DIDNT win last time should be the favorite.
Just sounds fair to me, as with bodybuilding you get idolizing.
And that means a 3 time winner in a row is more likely to win again than a competitor who's at the same level.
Just a thought.

As for "GH guts" I've always believed them to be caused by the combo of slin/GH and high BF during off season. (Correct me on this if you know better)
And that the distended gut shit is probably fatty tissue under the abs.
Thus it should be possible to correct.
