    Dallas, Rich, Chisels, and I

Most people will never see even a glimpse of their true potential.

There are a few individuals that bring the finest part of themselves to a focus and it's not only through hard work and dedication. Simply being dedicated won't bring you into a microscope to be studied by the masses as being truly exceptional.

Individuals that are truly great are simply acting upon a place in their being that won't allow them to NOT test themselves to max potential. I truly believe every living person has something to bring to the world that has never been seen before. Their is a small gift in all of us that has the potential to be refined into a diamond like greatness. It could be an art, personality, skill, physique, trade, method, or what have you. Sadly most individuals do not have a voice in their soul quite strong enough for them to show us just how great they are.

The forces that drive greatness are not silenceable.
They overwhelm a person and their entire life and heart and soul becomes like the body of a chisel. Their entire being is just a shaft of a chisel who's purpose is to drive a point home. This "point" is the gift given to the great individual. It is the focused force of an entire human being. A being can split a mountain in half if they focus everything to one tiny, seemingly insignificant, point. Anyone can do this but so few do.

Every human, regardless of race, sex, age, or disposition, is truly beautiful. They have a light inside them... That "point", the world is rarely shown.

Rich Piana and Dallas McCarver were two of those individuals. Hate him or love him, there will never be another Rich and we all witnessed his chisel point.
Dallas was an absolute machine and even years away from his potential he was top level IFBB. I believe if given 15 more years, Dallas would have been one of, if not the greatest bodybuilder of all time.

They toched many lives, inspired, and shone their light all over the earth.
May God be with their families and give them rest as their work on earth is done too soon.

    What sets you free?

I was heading home today after bidding a large contract, (by all means to large for any sane person in my position in life) and I went to my "free place" so to speak in my mind. In my free place, the adrenaline is pumping, things are moving quickly, and one slip up would mean disaster with enourmous life altering consequences. I love that feeling. I need that feeling. My happy place is basically a hopeless situation and just moving faster and harder until I have left my mark in the universe for all to see.
Sometimes at night, when I am in bed and totally spent, I feel like a bullet flying faster and faster toward an impact that will be my ending, but the impact I leave will be my legacy.

Will the impact, that is my legacy, be worth a short life?
Should I slow down and choose a different path and prolong the inevitable and seek a more mediocre lifestyle? I won't get to see my "free place" nearly as often, but I will probably be around longer...

    I can't slow down. I simply can't.
I know what I want and I will hold the throttle on the point of disintegration. I cannot live a long slow life. I could drop anabolics and bodybuilding.
I could lay down my chainsaw and go work a decent 9-5, taking orders, giving minimal effort. I could retire at 65 and live easy.
No I couldn't. I could go bat shit crazy, punch the boss in the face, abandon my family, and run off to the desert and die a hermit much easier.
I didn't choose to be this way. I made a discovery inside myself that made my hair stand up and a shiver run down my spine, before it consumed me.

I hold no judgments toward Rich if he was using drugs or doing something most felt he shouldn't. I hold no judgments toward Dallas if he was using insulin unsafely, (just simply rumor as far as I know). They both went young but they had a damn fine impact.

Everyone can't be great or we would all be mediocre. I believe Rich and Dallas were consumed by their fires, but they left us the true beauty of their chisel point and it won't be reproduced, ever. It is better to live a day as a lion than a thousand years a pussy. I cannot live mediocre or live so safe that I don't risk it all at times.

    Can you???

See you on the other side. Good ride men.

    "The brightest flame burns quickest."

Some of us just cannot accept average, okay, middling, mediocre, or whatever you want to call it. I've been like this for a long time. No matter what I do, I have to attack it as hard as I possibly can, or I will lose my damned mind over "could have, if"s.

This video was better than the tributes I found for Dallas.
