Some people never learn
So I'm watching reruns of some news shows(cant stand commercials) 11:30pm and get a call from a friend completely hammered, he got out of prison at 3:30pm today on parole. He's at the bar can't talk...I would like to think on some sub conscience level he reaching out for help, but if you knew this guy he has spent equal time in as out since high school. He really doesn't give a fuck.

Perhaps to much? He always has a place to live, food..etc at mom and dads and goes right to work for some family member, so support/abler system.
Like you said , its a decision he has to make for himself.
insane, prison, death....he has been there multiple times all.

Everybody has a different "Rock Bottom" Unfortunately some peoples is the grave. Or not till they catch a life sentence...
I have a brother in law that has 2 felony strikes, 4 kids and is back on the streets screwing around full well knowing the next time he gets busted it's all over. Can't understand his mind set and what it will take for him to wake up before it's all gone.
The whole family has tried to help him emotionally and financially over the years but pretty much all have agreed that he needs to figure it out on his own as painful as it is too watch. Enabling is nearly as bad as the offense committed. Basically it is co-signing their behavior. Believe me I was him only a short decade ago and I used everyone and everything around me to further my agenda.
