    Lightbulb Making extra money

    Yo guys!

We are all in need of some extra money from time to time, and many dream about leaving the 9-17 (which is mostly 5-18) work-routine.
So, I wanted to make a thread about your best tips for making some extra money.
Optional: where to invest this money?

Whoring, tax-fraud and selling your old grandma is not an option (tried those)

My best tips is freelancing as a writer.
I can give you the name of the site if you want to.
I can make up to 30 USD/ hour from time to time with easy and fun work if you are creative.
Example: I get 36 USD/ hour translating easy computer articles, workload is only 3 hours a week there, but still good money for less work.

I'm not good at investments tho, all ideas I've invested in have failed

Sounds like a nice little earner for spare time.

The tips you would like to discuss are you talking about earning money via time working or investment opportunities for making your money work better for you

    Both young sir!
Anything that can provide extra income both now and in future, either from experience or hearsay.

Just to make the thread a little secure for gullible minds, we might want to exclude stocks we find good or anything else
that can put some people in jeopardy

    I got one more:
A close family member normally buys all material for joinery from Bauhaus (not sure if you have it where you live)
He has a habit of asking if they have anything they want to get rid of fast that he can take in the truck.
He has gotten everything from Jacuzzis, bathtubs, wood, machines, clinkers and such for a fraction of the price, and sold it for a fortune.
The big chains always have faults in their orders or products that they want to get rid off.
Never wrong to ask and get some contacts

Ive invested in property, Government Bonds, fixed interest securities, commodities, CFD's, stocks and also Forex which I do on a daily/weekly basis. There are some I prefer due to the risk vs reward but still frustrating at times but suits my personality more. I also think a mixture of a wide range of investments are a good way forward in this day and age due to the volatility of certain markets. I wouldn't like to say what is the best way to invest because a lot goes into and if I truly know that answer I wouldn't be working for a living i'd be retired. I do have aims not to far in the distant future to hopefully have a lot more freedom due to my investments but only time will tell if this comes true or not. I guess I have my risk turned higher to try and capitalise on the bigger return but I do try my best to manage this risk but at times can be stressful and rewarding at the same time.

I do enjoy investing in precious metals. Silver being my favorite. I'm not saying it's a get rich quick scheme, but it is fun to watch the market because it is so up and down. I love the sound of physical silver, the look, and knowing what you have will never be 0. I've made decent money with it. More than gold. I do it for fun more than anything else. One market I've found to be a win win is property. Rentals or just land. They're not making anymore land, so I want to own as much as I can afford, which isnt a lot right now.. Maybe my silver will make me rich, lol. But if you can get good tenants and own several rentals, you really can have it made. You do have to have a certain personality though. And almost be heartless because there will be times you have to throw people out. That part is tough, but it's warranted.

I've been looking in to silver myself but never really got in to it. Most of the guys at my old work invested and still invest in precious metals, mostly gold.
They say that it's the only "currency" that will keep its value now and in the future.
I became a member at Auvesta, might start putting some money in there when I have some more knowledge.

I can also recommend https://www.betterglobe.com/ for those who want a solid future and help people in the same time.
Of course I can't guarantee that they will progress as much in the future to give what they promise, neither can they.
But my old boss is one of the top investers and has been for years, he frequently travel to Africa to see their progress and attend their seminars.
    Seems legit.
I have one donation package there which is nothing, but I will invest more when I have the chance.

Find a job that pays you well enough so you don't need extra income

Can't find one? Work harder and keep looking

Still need extra money? Stop living beyond your means.

If a job pays well through hard work and "looking around", most every-day-Joe would be rich by now.
If you have ever seen something called "News", then you should know that job opportunities and minimum wage is shit all over the world.
Most of the jobs out there, regardless of education or experience, has low pay for most of us.
But the right bud and the right place/ time can of course land a well-payed job, if they are lucky.

The last part means that you should basically stop wanting anything.

You way of thinking reminds me of my grandfather, work and never complain.
Be a genuine citizen and pay your taxes, no questions asked.
    I disagree with that entirely.
Many of us have it good, but we can have it better. MOST are getting butt-fcked in the ass with no security worldwide

I can agree thought that you shouldn't be greedy and be happy for what you have, because most have it worse.

I'd say given the way we mold and sculpt our bodies, whoring would be the best in easiest way to make extra money

But you really need to apply yourself maybe hang out at a golf course or Country Club and you're going to have to take a hit for the home team you're not going to get sexy clients you're going to get older woman you might have to hold your breath while you bang

Will jump over little too far but, anyway, here it goes - making money is easy, the hard to get to part is people without passion without destination or without any definite ambitions taking on and dropping too soon too quick, and then comes in "need to make some money" , I prefer have money there stable 24/7 move/grow/circulate etc.

Whatever one could sustain at for longer term - its a good self investment, and as a result if you can pull it and become better at it, be it writing/translating/design/art/editing/re-selling goods/being great chef/amazing cleaner, whatever, whatever that is youre good at, or want to become great at, and can stick to and improve over time - youre destined to more and more income and inevitably build a career for yourself and peoples you work with.

But people must not make a mistake not to make their hobby their work, because dark days always come and let not come those days that turn your passion hobby in to something you dread, because it will happen, no matter what one says, when it happens its too late.

    Good luck

No. I barely saved any. I thought it was another fad cryptocurrency.

In 2013, it peaked at $1300 before it crashed for a few years. Now it's what, $2300? That's almost half a million dollars I let slip away. Biggest mistake of my life. Oh well, no one could have predicted Bitcoin's rise.

Best way to make money is first eliminate debt and dont buy stupid shit you dont need.

Have a plan what you want from life and do whatever it takes to get there. I hate working. So I worked my guts out and retired a month before my 24th birthday. I owned my house and I spent my last 50 grand investing in a strawberry farm. Im far from rich but I have a good mind for making money.

Theres money to be made in everything. Think like a capitalist.

I think there are different stages of making money. In the early phase its good to both invest in acquiring skills and working extra. Like working 20-30 hours when youre in college. Because if youre not studying something very demanding, you can work 30 hours, you just have to spend less time gaming and drinking. If you arent going to college then work additional jobs. Complaining about low pay does not make you richer, but working more hours does.

Then when you have acquired some capital its time to put it in something that is safe and has decent yields. I started out with interest from banks, now this may not be an option with negative rates but there are other ways if you search. And keep working and look for opportunities to increase your pay. Once you have had a period of just depositing money in the "safe" (or bank or whatever) and you have proved to yourself you wont go binge shopping or drive fancy cars you have proved to yourself you can keep money well. But be wary of inflation. Your money should always get some small yield every year or else it depreciates. In this stage you should do lots of research on real, valuable assets you can get, which you believe will appreciate in price. For example precious metals, bitcoin, real estate. Stocks too if you have done a lot of research on the company and believe in it. Though these types of investments are not something you would spend all you have made from your labour.

IMO next step is testing to see if you are the type who can do their own thing. If youre a chef you can run your own restaurant. Construction worker start a company. And so on. For many college people this is not always an option as those types of jobs are for big companies so theres a trade off in potential earnings! When you run your own you can outcompete others by outworking them, both in how much work and the quality of your work. Think of it like hard basic economics. If you can do something people are willing to pay money for, then you can earn money. Choose what you can do best and do it as much as you can.

To me its not as bad as many think. There are opportunities if you are willing to do what others arent. Most people are lazy and have a comfort zone. Even if they wanted to break their comfort zone, they wouldnt have the guts to be different among their peers and spend time in hard labour versus hanging out with friends while affirming each other constantly and pretending they really are precious things in this universe. Though the reality is you will have to slave away a chunk of your life just to acquire wealth, which will later on bring other opportunities where labour is no longer needed. I am far from that but my goal is to live off of useful assets like getting low returns (but still above inflation), maybe rentals, who knows time will tell, anything that will allow me to work less (if at all) and afford to eat healthy and live in peace.

May I ask what are the annual returns off of that farm, and how much work is required?
