    Could someone please explain calories?

Ive been told that i pretty much wont ever be doing too much cardio on a cut. However here is what is going on in my head.
I eat 2500. Do 1000 kcal of cardio. I now have 1500kcal for daily functions.
Eating 1500kcal per day would be bad for extended periods. Why is this different?

My plan for this cut is to keep calories around maintenance and do more cardio but would like to check if i am grasping this.

I understand you recieve the benefits of micronutrients but why not eat 500kcal below tdee then also do a boat load of cardio?

Eating around your maintenance tdee and putting yourself in a small deficit by cardio and weights is ideal. Slow and steady. If you eat 200-500 calories under your tdee plus cardio and weights you will lose weight faster but also sacrafice some muscle mass depending how much of a deficit you're in. If you have any more diet or nutrition questions I'd suggest posting them the diet and nutrition thread. You will get more responses.

Addjust ypur total daily intake to maitenance only (tdee) then subtract 300-500 calories for a cut. I am sure opinions will vary. This is very basic and generic info so I am sure others will chime in more detailed.
