Osteoporosis
Hey guys, been a while, hope everyone is doing well. Anyway im after a little advice on my mums situation
She is 56 and has been diagnosed today with slight i think, osteoporosis. Shes started on vitamin D tablets at 2000units per day. I think this is pretty low but honestly cant remember, been a long time since ive read up on vitamin D. Anyways the doctor wants to put her on an injection Prolia, but after mum read up on it, shes quite hesitant due to apparently a lot of bad side effects from it and how its created or tested etc.
Im just after advice from the folks on here and there opinions on what is best ,Do you have osteo? Does someone you know have it? What did you do etc.. Honestly Australian doctors are very backwards in time compared to US Drs.
thanks a lot.
