Indulge once a month -- a bottle of wine and 20 cigs

I go to an Open Mic Night once a month. Mostly I play guitar and sing (e.g. Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice, James Bay), but I started reading my poetry last time.

I don't take drugs or drink alcohol or smoke tobacco, but once a month at the Open Mic Night I drink a bottle of Rosé (750ml of 24proof) and smoke a 20-pack of cigarettes. Then I go another month of lifting 4 days of week and doing yoga by myself every night at home. (I also cycle about 85 miles per week).

Does anyone else have a voluntary controlled blowout ritual like this?

nope, sounds something a poetry writer would do

Poetry, wine, fruit avatar, menopausal "indulgences"...

Lot of signs here.

When I need to cut loose, I indulge by tearing my body down and swearing insults at my past present and future.
I do this until I have defeated myself and have no more strength to take out on my inner turmoil. Takes about 30-45 minutes and peace follows.

Or...

I drink beer.
