10+ years ago I always thought I would like to retire in San Diego, CA. That has since fizzled away. Lately, I've been thinking of Oahu, Hawaii. It's pretty incredible out there.
Where would you want to spend the rest of your days after retirement?

Probably Capetown South Africa or Miami Fl
I would travel but have a home in florida.
Work til the day I die.
Camps Bay South Africa
Walvis Bay Namibia
West of Ireland great place to hide and chill.
I'm fairly satisfied living out in the country where I am, but I could see myself seriously considering Iceland.
Location does not matter as long as its beautiful. For me its about citizenship, their diplomatic relations, and if they have a track record of respecting property rights. Greece is the winner for me. Somewhere on a mountainside but still very close to a beach with fine sand and clear water. Build my own home with the most rigid base and make it fully self sufficient. Have a big greenhouse with hydroponics and soil making too.
I have thought about Alaska or on the gulf coast of Florida. Lived in Miami and it's great if you are young and like people stacked on top of people.
Ideally I would just want a secluded place from lots of people. I would like to hobby farm. Waking up every morning to coffee and wild life like how I grew up.
I didn't grow up like this but spent weeks every summer at grandma/pa. They had chickens, bees, huge garden, occasional pig or cow too. I think with technology you can make life so easy, so stress free, that once you have it you can't imagine going back to apartments and traffic jams and all the time constraints. Just imagine farming plus hydro for some plants, even aquaponics. The whole world in your home lol
Anywhere with good gun laws
Hope I'm still stacking shelves and cleaning toilets when I'm 93. Just enough money left over for a fortnightly brazzer.
Kelowna British Columbia Canada. If the population stays the same. House right beside the lake okanagan. Or Vancouver British Columbia Canada

I plan on keeping my acreage in South Dakota. In the winter time I will hook onto my toyhauler with the Harley in the back and travel south with no planned destination. If I get tired of traveling that way I will get on deltas website and book our trip to Jamaica. The spring, summer and fall are awesome here and have found no place I would rather be.
That is if you love to fish, hunt, atv and ride motorcycle
All depends if I win the lottery or not
Fingerlakes region for me if I get the chance. Only 7 years to go in the current location.
"I stay mostly to myself but that's OK, they know me here"
There is an awesome little beach community called camps bay in Cape Town, South Africa. The US exchange rate is good and the people are friendly, it's beautiful
Somewhere warm with a water view as I'm sick of winter. Also with no immediate neighbors. I have zero patience anymore which is one of the reasone I can't seem to go to gyms anymore as I'm going to shove someones phone down their throat. Rant over. Fvck off.
I have been doing some financial figuring the last couple of hours and I will be 94 years old when I can retire if I keep spending money the way I have been.
considering the west coast of florida is pretty much heavens waiting room, guess it will be there.
Im on east coast now and I love it, just moves fast for old timers.
Lakewood ranches is nice, have little land there so will one day build a house on it and officially be on the waiting list for heaven.
