Woke up yesterday feeling a bit off, so I just did everything heavy (for me) and got in and got out.
Today I feel like absolute hell. But luckily I don’t think it’s the flu, just a cold. I hope to train tomorrow at some point. Even if it’s just light.
Megadose some Vit C, and make sure you are taking some D3. Helps me get rid of stuff quick. And with the Vit C, try taking enough to where you don’t get stomach issues.

Yep yep, on it! I feel a tad bit better today but developed a slight cough over night. I might go hit up the sauna today and clear out my lungs

Did not feel like working out this morning. Reached down deep and had one of my best workouts. It was painful but worth every bit! I did bi’s and tri’s so I had the veins popping which makes it easier. Down another .6kg. I am going to up my carbs a little to flatten out the weight loss a little.

I've done cardio 5 days in a row now.
I hate everyone that thought this comp was a good idea.

This is a 2 month difference of diet, cardio and high intensity fasted training. Prior to cycle. I had major surgery and in the hospital for 2 months prior to the before photo.

    Damn good work!

Two months in the hospital, dang bro. I admire what you’ve had to overcome.

Another 45 minutes in the gym, 10 minutes of rowing, 20 on the bike, rest spent stretching and doing some add/abduction work.

    Starving!!!

Day 2 of being sick in bed.

Only upside is i haven’t ate much and seemed to have leaned up and the heavy coughing brought out my abs a bit more. I’m feeling better tonight, so we will see how I feel over night. That’s when it’s been it’s worst.

You might as well stay in bed for a few weeks, just too make sure you are well

Just finished HIIT. Feeling much better and heartbeat is down 10-15 bpm. Killed calves with rest-pause. Posing for 10 minutes. Sauna for 20.

Leg night at the gym last night, strength is still climbing every week. I cant explain what is going on with my body, I have only tried to cut this quick a couple of times and both times my strength went down. This time I seem to be losing more BF than before and strength increases the whole time. I guess the combination of everything is working.

Appetite is crap I have to force feed every meal, sleep is poor 3-5 hours max a night but energy levels are awesome through out the day. Night sweats are in full force and the last couple of weeks the sporadic day sweats are getting more common.

The gym owner approached me last night and asked if I was interested in becoming a personal trainer at the gym.
He told me he had a few new members ask if I was trainer and what the schedule was.
It did make me feel pretty good considering I am 47 and what I looked like 12 years ago.

Just a side note craving for donuts and sweets is at an all time high and I normally never eat donuts or sweets.

I'm on my eighth week of not not working out...
My excuse this week is I have firework builders from all over the country here, I'm hosting a group build/shoot. The most well known firework builder is here! Here's a link to the thread talking about or shoot on his site. And no, I'm not chris bruce

Fuckkn struggling losing the fat! The scale has not moved in almost a month as far as weight is concerned but am still making gains in the gym. Definitely getting stronger and stronger, especially my weaker points. I have done two a days almost everyday, even if one session is just 30 minutes of LISS cardio. As stated in my ongoing thread in the nutrition section, my body just doesn’t want to let go of fat! Maybe I can’t see the changes I’m making? I’m just going to keep pushing and pushing and see where it takes me. Might have to get back to really tracking macros hard but hate doing that, takes the fun out of it. Or, really try strict keto, which would be tough, I love carbs!

Well, off to pop some blood vessels in my head!

Hey Diesel- your write up sounds exactly like what I am experiencing. My strength is increasing during a caloric deficit....WTF?
My appetite is crap and I just keep losing and losing. Too fast IMO. The first week of cutting, I gained and then all of a sudden the weight is going down at a fast pace.
I think there is an internal competition going on. My body is fucking with my brain. 7 more weeks for me.
Dropping all wet oils on Monday.
I am having issues with loose skin in the ab area, but this happens every year prior to competition so it is to be expected.

Tomorrow I'm going to start my final push. I have decided to keep going for a few weeks after we are done as I would like to see where I can take this and then, slowly add some muscle for the rest of the year.

    Open 18.3
    2 Rounds For Time Of:
    100 Double-Unders
    20 Overhead Squats - 52kg
    100 Double-Unders
    12 Ring Muscle-Ups
    100 Double-Unders
    20 Dumbbell Snatches - 22.5kg
    100 Double-Unders
    12 Bar Muscle-Ups
    Time Cap: 14 Minutes
NOTE: I can't do ring muscle ups so I did not get very far. This was one mental workout. No one has finished within the allocated time thus far.

    Conditioning
    5k Row
    20-minutes Assault Bike

    Strength
    Legs at the old gym
    30-minutes Elliptical

Finally got a workout in. Been sick in bed for 2 days.

Basically did some light circuits and then 30min of stairstepper. I was sweating so perfusely it was unreal. Lol

I hurt so bad when I first started workout out. By the time I was done I loosened up a lot and now my body feels pretty good. Probably do a similar workout tomorrow, depending on how I feel.

Did some serious stretching and a 5K Row today. That's it pretty much. Still, many hours to go so I might squeeze in some more cardio. Motivation seems to be back and with EXACTLY 3-weeks to-go I am dead set on at least doing the best I can with the remaining time. Doubt it will be enough but it will not be for a lack of trying. Started fasting yesterday at 22:00 hours and that will last until food delivery resumes tomorrow lunch which should arrive sometime around 14:00. That will be a good fast to get back on track.

    21-days to go!

    HIIT circuits today,

Still a little weak from being sick but a good workout and made my body feel better. Still somewhat knotted up everywhere but that’s to be expected. Got my lungs to clear up pretty good too.

That's it MS. Keep pushing. Feels like hell at first, but worth every minute of it at the end.... Sounds like the flu and not a cold like you thought.
I overslept yesterday so I missed my morning routine. I need to make it up today on my day off. Oh well, At least I won't have missed a workout. I just need to get myself mentally there. I will.

Just finished a 40h fast and had my lunch after that (I fasted from Friday night, 22:00 until today, 14:00). I wanted to try this to determine the difference between physiological and psychological hunger. It for sure was an exciting experience. I was going to try to workout this morning, but the fast made it, virtually, impossible. I could hardly stand. Now, why would I go through this ridiculous experience, except for what I just stated? I needed to prove to myself that I was still in this competition and that I had not entirely given up because that is what it felt like these last few days. I had to do a bit of a reset and with only 20-days to go this was going to be my last hurray. I am happy to say I am back on track and with the few amounts of days left it feels manageable and within reason for what I can do.

Fasting believe it or not releases a lot of growth hormone . it reduces systemic inflammation and give the body much needed time to take the energy needed to breakdown food and metabolize it towards other processes like muscle growth and repair. We have evolved mechanisms so that when there isn’t an abundance of food, the body hyper activated all the repair processes of the body to get caught up before the next hunt and meal. When you eat a meal, 60% of your real time energy expenditure goes into digestion. More than half your blood supply is reservoired in the intestines at any one time to accommodate energy and nutrient shuttling.
